3) Ever apply for a contract job w/ gov? TOP OF THE LIST is if you have an active clearance. Those that do? Right to the front of the line. Unless you've a specialized skill set, nobody wants the effort of getting a clearance.

4) I'm talking low level stuff here. IT admin, programmers, low level analysis, etc. The general public.

Where it really gains value is when you're ex-3-letter-agency, et al. They want your access, contacts & network. And pay well for it.

5) Where is gets even more interesting is when you form your own company, there are literally thousands of them doing business w/the federal gov. Forming these consultancies always includes a high level clearance & contacts. Clearance replaces cash investment.

6) So in essence, one or many money guys link up with one or many security clearance/access guys (with little to no money) and start sicking at the teat from everything from training to risk assessments, to cost analysis, to private intel gathering.

7) It's a huge and vastly profitable network. Many people go into public service knowing that on the other end is a pension, and a chance to cash in. This is why Mudd is such a liar.

The very idea of revoking clearances sends HUGE shudders thru the bilking community.
