To the contrary, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a standard that applies for all peoples and every organ of society

Universal Declaration of Human Rights, while far from a perfect doc, shows that in modern era, human rights aren’t limited to the actions of govts.

Most of Bill of Rights is govt related; but Art 11 indicates that the rights in the Bill of rights should not deny other rights

The Bill of Rights says the govt shall 👉🏼make no law👈🏼 prohibiting or abridging free speech (which indicates the importance of free speech to founding fathers of the US.)

It does not say the govt is the only party obligated to respect free speech.

The Internet has become a primary furum for exchange of ideas, information and debate. It has huge potential to do good.

But when major internet oligopolies control information - the potential for totalitarian control of narratives is great

This needs debate and applicable laws

US is a signatory to the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights which relates to the duty of individuals, not just govts (something one would expect of a country claiming to be a land of the “Free”)

The Constitution does not deny or disparage other rights.
