For what it's worth, this is a short thread about Corbyn's Labour Party and Jews. I'm a Jewish man in Britain and I'm terrified about what's happening in front of our eyes. I've also just seen a document in which the 'Jewishness' of specific people working in the BBC is noted.

Things are moving fast now and most people (who aren't on one side or the other) have turned away, because they're a bit bored. But this isn't just another political farrago - this goes to the root of who we are and what we stand for.

Labour is not a 'racist' Party. Labour is not an 'antisemitic' Party. But Corbyn's version of Labour is now both of those things. Of course we are dealing in generalisations, because we're talking about a mass-movement - but the numbers are great enough to delineate intent.

British Jews are being marginalised and gaslit in equal measure. The narrative is that Corbyn is a decent man - an anti-racist who wants the best for all - and that's enough to obfuscate what is clearly the truth: That his Labour has chosen a side and the Jews are not on it.

This isn't hysteria, but obvious and straightforward logic. He pushes back against us, eroding our freedoms and our positions. He releases his acolytes to mock, tarnish and abuse at will. He befriends Israel's enemies and is apparently surprised when they then attack Jews.

And he stays silent, leaving his people to carve their way through generations of friendship and partnership like a warm knife through butter. He's gone, like a wraith. No comment from Jeremy, other than a blanket disavowal of 'all kinds of racism'. He's not really there at all.

Nothing from his moderates, other than the occasional Tweet and a short doorstep interview. Nothing from Labour centrists, because to come to terms with what's happening means they have to reassess what they stand for. This is, to these people, an inconvenient truth.

We've crossed the line now, I think. But Britain's Jews aren't going to be victims again. We stood against fascism in Cable Street in 1936 and we'll do it again if we have to. Back then, we stood alongside Socialists. This time, we may have to face them. #LabourAntisemitism
