Okay, since the #WeShallOverCome is getting some attention now, I would like to detail it to all who is asking me what it actually is. Here goes a thread 👇
We have about 30+ members in the group who are from all around the world which helped us to work whole 24 hours for the last 4 days because we were having different timezone.
We were in touch with almost all the ground volunteers of differrent organisations, officials and even then rescue team which helped us to help others in need. They were very much helpful and putting their 100%.
We collected and verified the rescue request that were coming on to social media. We sorted it into immediate rescue, airlift rescue, boat rescue and such.
We then handed over it to the officials and followed it up through local volunteers till we confirm that the request is met and they either safe or rescued and inturn informed it to the one who raised the request. So it was actually a big task which we were doing for all this day
Almost 200+ rescue, food drops and missing cases in total were attended by us. In most of the missing cases we attended, Since we had a good network of volunteers working over different camps it was easy for us to pass the message and identify them.
I have to definetly mention about the fisherman's worked over there. Since we attended different cases were airlift was not possible, we passes over the data's to them. They have attended almost all the cases and rescued.
There are lot of free resources which we can actually use to make life better. Social media can do equally wonders and harm. Its all about how we receive it. And I am very glad that humanity is still alive.
I am also proud about the state and people here. In all the sets of governance and developments, there is definitely a Kerala Model. And we are working onto ensure that even in this case there will a Kerala Model recovery to showcase the whole world how we dealt with it.
