(1) After seeing @tparsi RTing this from @AliVaez, I became suspicious & started doing some research.
(Parsi only tweets or RTs in favor of #Iran's regime.)
(2) The report, written by "United Nations Special Rapporteur Idriss Jazairy," argues that U.S. sanctions against are unjust & criticizes President @realDonaldTrump's nixing of the #IranDeal. ohchr.org/EN/NewsEvents/…
(3) “International sanctions must have a lawful purpose, must be proportional, and must not harm the human rights of ordinary citizens, and none of these criteria is met in this case,” Jazairy stressed.
(4) Of course, Jazairy fails to provide any facts showing U.S. sanctions are harming "the human rights of ordinary citizens..." in #Iran.
(5) “These unjust and harmful sanctions are destroying the economy and currency of Iran, driving millions of people into poverty and making imported goods unaffordable,” Mr. Jazairy stressed...
(6) I have explained in previous threads, but will do so again.
#Iran's regime has destroyed the country's economy for 39 years & counting.
Over 50 million people in Iran are living in poverty, even according to the regime's own media. tasnimnews.com/fa/news/1397/0… …
(9) Jazairy won't tell you that #Iran spends hundreds of millions supporting the terrorist Lebanese Hezbollah. thenational.ae/world/the-amer…
(10) Jazairy won't tell you that #Iran spends hundreds of millions - if not billions - fueling the Houthis' destruction campaign in #Yemen. reuters.com/article/us-yem…
(11) This explains many things vividly about #Iran's regime wasting billions abroad & the people suffering...
(12) Jazairy won't tell you that #Iran spends billions on weapons programs & terrorism, while the Iranian people are suffering & chanting:
"Not Gaza, Not Lebanon"
"Forget Syria, think about us" foxnews.com/world/2018/01/…
(13) Jazairy wont' tell you that the Iranian people are suffering because they're ruled by a corrupt regime that very easily says "$9 billion of government currency has gong missing..."?
(15) "... the U.S. maintains broad authorizations and exceptions that allow for the sale of food, medicine, and medical devices by U.S. persons or from the United States to Iran."
(16) "U.S. sanctions laws provide similar allowances for sales of food, agricultural commodities, medicine, and medical devices to Iran by non-U.S. persons."
(17) "To further assist non-U.S. persons, including banks and medical suppliers, in fully understanding these allowances, this Guidance underscores that these sales to Iran do not trigger sanctions under U.S. law."
(19) "... a Geneva-based watchdog group took the floor to challenge the Special Rapporteur, former Algerian ambassador Idriss Jazairy, on the ethics of his receiving $50,000 from Russia last year for his mandate, as disclosed in a recent UN report."
(20) "The U.N. report 'makes the astounding claim that the Russian government of Vladimir Putin is a victim of human rights violations, and that the perpetrators are the EU and the U.S.,' said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, a non-governmental human rights group."
(21) Jazairy also rushed to the rescue of Sudan, describing the genocidal regime as a "human rights victim" ... unwatch.org/uns-idriss-jaz…
(22) Believe me, I found Jazairy's background through a 5-min Google search.
(23) My conclusion:
1. One day we may learn that Jazairy was paid by #Iran's regime to prepare such a report.
2. When @tparsi tweets or RTs something, beware & rest assured there's some #FakeNews in it.
(24) As always, please reach your own conclusion.
I welcome any & all constructive feedback.
Thanks in advance!
