I am going to do a loooooong thread. So many jumbling thoughts I have on women, rights feminism, big mouth, loud mouth, submissive, freedom, being you, whatever. It sure going to be jumbled but my thoughts over time. #IAmMe
First of all I am called a woman because I have the reproductive organs of a female. So WOMEN is not one person but different people who just happen to share the same reproductive organs.
Stop lumping them into one being. They are different & have a right to different wants #IAmMe
Every woman is an individual who has a right to her individuality. Every woman has a right to do what she wants to and how she wants to whenever she wants to.
No one woman's right is more important than another woman's right #IAmMe
One woman can decide to kneel and crawl and lick her man's feet while another decides to meet her man eye to eye, shoulder to shoulder. They both have a right to it. No one should be vilified nor looked down upon nor put on a pedestal for their choice #IAmMe
One woman can decide to cook and take care of the house and be a house goddes while another decides to go out work and be a slayer. It's all individual choices and whatever makes you happy go for it #IAmMe
A woman can decide to not depend on anyone and be financially independent while another decides to be dependent. It's a choice that each has a right to. What's important is that it be what they want and not what they are forced to do #IAmMe
So much time is focused on telling women what they should want or not want as if we are dealing with one individual. Every woman has a right to choose what works for her and be unapologetic about it and also not look down on the choices of other women #IAmMe
One woman can decide to have a man hold her door for her and another can decide she has no time for that. It's a choice each is free to make and should be allowed to make by society #IAmMe
If a woman decides to marry a man 20 years her junior it's her choice and if a woman decides to marry a man 20 years her senior it's equally her choice. What is not acceptable is if she is marrying a boy groom! #IAmMe
No one person should force their ideas or choices on anyone #IAmMe
I came to this world as an individual and I would do my thing. I would not stop another from doing their thing. To each her own
Those who want to tell anyone how women behave should go worry about their own behaviour. #IAmMe
The worst thing you can do is live a life that doesn't make you happy because you are forced to do what others have defined for you #IAmMe
You own your life. There is only one you. Do you and be you. When the doors are closed, you only have you to live with, so you better be a happy you #IAmMe
No one is going to live your life for you so you should not go through life doing only what others want you to do. You should do what you want to do and allow others do what they want to do #IAmMe
I personally hate to cook and I have refused to allow society force me to be ashamed of my choice. I equally admire others who love to cook. It's a choice they have a right to and I appreciate them by eating lovingly what they cook😛 #IAmMe
That I have never knelt for my man doesn't mean I don't love him. It's a choice I made and I looked for a man who doesn't need a woman kneeling for him to have a sense of authority. If you love to kneel look for one who needs you on your knees. It's a choice #IAmMe
That some decide to fight for sanitary pads for girls is not a reason to come after them. You can decide to fight for something for boys when they "dream wet"
It's a choice #IAmMe
Some ladies decide they don't want to get married. It's their choice. Marriage is not compulsory on anyone. It's not a sign of failure or achievement. It's a way to get 50% free! We were told there would be one man to 50 women come endtime so many wouldn't marry anyway. #IAmMe
Some womrn do not want children. It's their right to not want children. If they decide they do not want to be accountable for another human being it's their choice. Other women want 20 children it's their choice too! #IAmMe
Some women want to be nice and not say ANYTHING to ruffle anyone's feather it's their choice. Others say what they want to irrespective of whose ox is gored its also their choice #IAmMe
Some women want to follow the dictate of their religion it's their choice and others do not want to follow the dictates of any religion it's also their choice.
God created people to have choices and make choices and reason God has rewards and sanctions #IAmMe
Whatever it is that works for you go for it. Go for your happiness. Your business is not what happens in other people's life or relationship. Your business is what happens in yours. Focus! #IAmMe
Choices and fundamental human rights are two different things. No woman should be denied her fundamental human rights and made unaware of the right to choices that she has! The following tweets are going to be the write up I did when the equality bill was thrown out #IAmMe
My name is Aisha Yesufu and I happen to be a human being with the reproductive organs of a female so I am called a woman. When I demand for equality I am not demanding to change my womanhood for manhood. That would be unfair to the ME that I am. #IAmMe
When I demand equality I am merely asking to be treated equally. #IAmMe
When I demand for equality I am not saying I want to take over a man's job I am merely saying I want to have my own job and not handout. #IAmMe
When I demand for equality I want to be looked at as a human being with all her 5 senses and an accompanying brain and not as a toy to be toyed with. #IAmMe
When I demand for equality I am not saying I want to beat up a man I am just saying I should not be seen as one to be beaten with impunity. #IAmMe
When I say I want equality I am not saying I want to take over the pay of a man I am just saying I deserve fair pay based on what I bring to the table. #IAmMe
When I demand for equality I am not saying a Boy-Child born should be frowned at I am just saying the Girl-Child born should be heralded with joy. #IAmMe
When I demand for equality I am not saying the Boy-Child shouldn't be sent to school I am just saying that the Girl-Child has a place in the classroom. #IAmMe
When I demand for equality I am not saying the wife should be above the husband I am just saying the wife should have a place in the partnership. #IAmMe
When I demand for equality I am not saying Men have to do the cooking I am just saying whoever wants to should be allowed to. #IAmMe
When I demand for equality I not saying men should become Mijin Hajiya (Men controlled by women). I am just saying women should be matar Alhaji(a wife) with rights. #IAmMe
When I demand for equality I am not saying men should be disinherited I am just saying women have a right to inherit and be inherited from. #IAmMe
When I demand for equality I am not saying I am better than you. I am just saying you should not be afraid of who I am. #IAmMe
At the end of the day my demand for equality does not take anything away from you. It only ensures I get what is truly mine so why all the bad belle(hatred)? #IAmMe
I am back on this thread because from some of the comments I notice some don't understand the right to a CHOICE. Freedom to choose what one wants is a choice and each choice has its consequence good or bad #IAmMe
Its not for anyone of us to determine what choices people make whether we feel it's right or not. The way we have a right to our own choice is the way they have a right to their own choice good or bad! #IAmMe
You can decide to go to gym regularly and be fit. I can decide to not go to the gym and be unfit. It's a choice we both have a right to and not one person is more right than the other. We both would live with the consequences of our choices #IAmMe
I am a Muslim woman who wears the hijab it's my choice. There are those who do not wear the hijab it's their choice. Everyone bears the consequence of their choice. I must never think I should impose my choice on others. Would I allow them impose their choice on me? #IAmMe
I wear the hijab and I have the right to my choice. Same way another who wears mini has the right to her choice. If her right to wear mini is trampled upon I would defend it same way I would defend my right to wear hijab. It's a choice we both have the right to be allowed!
So let's understand something whether you think one's choice is right or not, does not matter. EVERYONE HAS A RIGHT TO A CHOICE! Let them. You are not police. Stop policing people's lives. Be and let everyone be!

Most painfully, today is 1,619 days since school girls of Government Secondary School, Chibok were abducted in their school on April 14, 2014- BBOG #BringBackOurGirls
Of the 219 of the Chibok school girls that were abducted, 107 are back and 112 of their schoolmates remain captives of terrorists. Today is also 212 days since Leah Sharibu was abducted- BBOG #BringBackOurGirls

Today I am going to talk about marriage and the little things that we do not really think they matter but they are really what makes or break marriage overtime #HappyMarriage
It is normally said marry someone you like. Like for me is more important in marriage than love. Love is important don't get me wrong but it's like that gets one through the years and years😁 #HappyMarriage
Love is a consuming high energy emotion. Like is a more subtle and durable emotion that is mostly stable. Love can be unstable. There is a thin line between love and hate. #HappyMarriage
So Kwankwaso has been denied use of Eagle Square? When they say injustice to one is injustice to all many don't think deep about it. When citizens where being harassed by this govt Kwankwaso was silent. Today it's his turn.
We stand against injustice & say this is unacceptable
If Kwankwaso had spoken against the injustice of shrinking civil space they might have been wary of shrinking political space but then he was silent because na dem dem.
Today it's his turn and we would not be silent because INJUSTICE TO ONE IS INJUSTICE TO ALL
So now that Kwankwaso has been denied use of Eagle Square let me tell him there is Unity Fountain Abuja which citizens defended at the risk of their lives while he looked the other way and enjoyed the perks of power. At the end we are all VICTIMS
Ayi do you still have money left over from the pocket money given to you?
Those words marked the new phase of my life. I was 11 and wondering why my mum asked the question. She has never been interested in my pocket money.
I left it in school I said. It is in the provision I kept with my matron. There was such a look of disappointment in my mother's eyes. Worse was that there was no money.
A senior had asked I should lend her the money and I had given her. That senior is the only person whose name I remember from that school. Months later my parents would go back for the money and provision and of course there was no money

My conversation with you inspired this write up and I wil call it #DreamForAll
As a child I discovered books and it opened up a whole new world for me. You wouldn't find me without a book. I read and read and read.
During holidays I read everything I could get my hands on. I read all the books my Dad had in his library. I read encyclopedia, books on psychology, motivational books. By age 12 I was reading Dale Carnegie and co. I read because I had to be reading something.
Ironically for all my reading I never developed the habit of reading Newspaper. My father was an avid reader of Newspapers still is. He used to buy 5 Newspapers everyday (Daily Times, Concord, New Nigeria, X X) I cant remember the other two then there was a weekly one on business
Were Nigerians not told that the military has won the war? What then is the reason for the escalation of attacks by the terrorists and the heightened loss of life of citizens and our soldiers?
