The young people of this country have seen enough violence and death. These incredible students in New Orleans deserve more coverage for their incredible activism in the wake of tragedy.

These students mobilized hundreds to rally against gun violence. They had a unified message of enough is enough.

These students started a group and initiative called #ProjectLiveAndAchieve. Listen to their strength and find inspiration in their action.

Everyone needs to hear the story of Amer Miller, a 17 year old gunned down over his iPhone on July 14th. washingtonpost.com/local/public-s…
Amer Miller was shot and killed after being robbed. He was a week away from his 18th birthday and had a bright future ahead of him.
At the local community center, his English teacher DeMarcus McMillan read an Essay Amer wrote, its quoted in the Washington Post article.

Today we’re going to UT-2 home to Chris Stewart an A-rated NRA politician The vote differential was 41,330. Young people can determine the outcome of this district if they turn out to vote. There are 131,700 18-29 year olds in this district that can vote.
80% of gun deaths in Utah suicide

From 2000 to 2015 suicide rate in Utah has gone up 51%

Utah has no law imposing a waiting period prior to the purchase of a firearm which could help stop this epidemic.
According to a study conducted by Harvard researchers “Between 1970 and 2014, 43 states had waiting period laws in place for at least 1 year. The researchers compared guns per capita homicide rates in states with and without the laws over the same time periods.
