I’m sure most are aware that I can’t be bullied or cowed into submission. I respond only to superior arguments & if you don’t have that please shun ad hominem. We work on the streets & know the confidence with which innocent citizens are attacked by authorities running amok.

Unguided pronouncement by authority figures make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants. We are trying to curb homicides, law enforcers are mostly ignorant of the law but are quick to latch into vague pronouncement that gives them leverage to commit crimes.

To top that selfish individuals will exploit every opportunity to want to prove that the rights or minority groups trumps the rights of generality even when there is no comparison or profiling in the intervention process. We are indeed our own enemy as a people. Let’s be guided.

We have seen this method fail before. You can’t be fight against anything with the same mindset of the very issue you are fighting. An intolerant character can’t fight against intolerance just as much as a narcissistic projections won’t get you far in the public space.

Learn from events around you and do better. You can’t fight belligerence with belligerence. You can’t go around calling people names just because you have tact in presenting better arguments. You can’t accuse others of what you are guilty of demonstrably. Stop the assumption.

Nasty attitudes and intolerance won’t get anyone on your side. Read to understand instead of seeking what to be offended by. If you are unable to put yourself in another’s shoes, it will be tough for you to understand emotional intelligence. This is a subtle warning.

The patterns are familiar and I can easily link the next move of the authorities on strategic clamp downs. Watch your excesses on issues that requires legal interpretation. A militarized police won’t discuss rights and laws with a gun in their hands. Until this is fixed be wary.

When we started #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG it wasn’t just about the SARS operative but a prevalence of impunity. SARS by itself was designed to combat violent crimes but it later broke into smaller divisions SAKS & SACS (Kidnapping & Cultism) if we hadn’t started the campaign...

...by now we would have a subtle Special Anti LGBTI Squad. Recall the modus Of operation that is arbitrary and presumptuous. A guess is all it takes for you to be canned. This was fought subtly to protect the rights of all from indiscriminate oppression & harassment.

Curb the excesses and be rational about your utterances. Those fighting for the common good may soon be frustrated with your insensitivity. While you are being selfish about your personal desire some are concerned about the desire of the collective. Be wise.

I said as much to Nnamdi Kanu back then but the same resistance by followers was staged with dangerous languid intransigence. Look at where it got them. We must not fail to learn from history. Tantrums and emotions don’t pass bills or solve problems. Be strategic. Be rational.

Stand with the fight for the common good of all and your good will be factored in at the end. But segregate your interest and attempt to act like your interest supersedes the interests of others and watch how that fails as it always does. A word they say is enough for the wise.

Those infants chanting human rights behind their phones in the comfort of their homes don’t understand that the international community will not lift a finger once the indiscriminate clampdown begins. It was before our very own eyes that IPOB, Shiites et al got served.

It wasn’t justified yet you were mostly mum. When SARS were on the killing spree, you mostly normalized it and kept quiet. If we had adopted the primitive Protest route by the fountain, you won’t come out but watch from afar and criticize it on from your comfort zones.

If you have an argument you feel so strongly about, please step out and start a movement. Be bold and put your life on the line like some of us have and stop the petty insults from behind your keypads. Blood flows through my veins as well & there is so much one can take.
