There’s a dangerous trend that is symptomatic of how hopeless the assembly line literacy program we call education has been. People would rather want to sound “Woke” than demonstrating their ability to think independently. I wake up daily to read torrential requests for money/Job
You come on Twitter hoping to see quality and superior arguments but all you see littering the space is a “wokish” culture of emotive people indoctrinated by Neo-liberalism. I’m always glad when once in a while folks like @cchukudebelu @zeal_a @KingDouyeAlfred & @TunjiAndrews ...
...grace the space with quality debates on socio-Economic issues and superior argument that educates readers void of sentiments, emotions and blackmail as defence for lack of point or counter. These folks are a breath of fresh air. Now to the issues that should concern us all...
...@DrJoeAbah and @julietkego will agree with me that what happened yesterday to PACT must have an imPACT on the ideological PACT some of us had on coalition, especially amidst the promising educated youthful aspirants. What could have led to the unpacking of this PACT? 🤔
Also we see what happened with the NBA elections considering the number of lawyers we have in Nigeria as against those accredited to vote as well as the voting process itself. Shouldn’t we do better as enlightened people to show the players in the political system the how?🤔
When we advocate for change in any system, it must go beyond the noise. We must show within our advocacy the change we hope to see sustained by becoming that change. We did this with the #EndSARS campaign by mirroring the system and doing the needful to affect lives directly.
The people don’t really care about your English nor would they be entertained by your registers, accent, diction or atticism. They want to feel the impact of your action as matched by the articulation of priorities, plans, programs, policies and promises.
You can’t for instance win over our intellectuals with your display of understanding economics via the quoting of GDP trends which really has nothing on the interests of Nigerians until you discuss Salaries, Spendings and Savings which has a more direct impact on the people.
I’ve said many times that a country with over 70million youthful population is sitting on a Gold mine but our geriatric leaders are stuck in the 80s on the strain of the Oil Boom. There’s no 🇳🇬, without Nigerians & if it is not well with Nigerians it can’t be well with 🇳🇬
We have measured the pulse on the street enough to to create a working template for the politically savvy to follow but can they read the signs? Can there be political without organic impact on the people genuinely? 🤔
What happened at PACT is a microcosm of our holistic political problem. If you only believe that unless you are the President Change can’t come then your ideology is problematic. Are you more interested in becoming President or Changing Nigeria?
We say let the best man win with the assumption that we are the best man. Despite the assumed enlightenment of the PACT, they can’t seem to divorce themselves from the base instinct as demonstrated. Could this be a distrust of others or a belief that only you can be President?
Can the members of PACT see the bigger picture and their message to Nigerians with their conduct that shows their inability to honor their internal agreement within a small group of less than 20 while expecting Nigerians to trust them to honor the constitution.
This demonstrably shows a failure of Integrity. However the challenge we have as a people is the mindset that leadership is all about One man making all the plans and executing all. Thus, we shop for expertise that would solve all the problems in a swoop.
I hate to break it to you, that this is a wrong view. The leader’s job is Visionary. He is an administrator at best. His job is to call all the competencies together in order to achieve a holistic vision that progresses the Nation. He is the most motivated player on the field.
As the most motivated player on the field of play, the job of the leader is primarily to be secure enough to allow the best players express themselves on the field towards bringing home the trophy and advancing the team to the top of the charts. Abi @akaebube ?🤔
Having said this, perhaps it will be better served if the President is the best spokesperson who can articulate the vision with great atticism as the mouthpiece of the Nation without being petrified at the mention of Media Chats. See why @bukolasaraki is deemed presidential?
Listen, the Presidential candidate or president at that need not be necessarily the sharpest person but must be backed by expertise and competences that can focus on his blindspots and weaknessness while he would be expected to make them express themselves for the benefit of all.
A President must be capable of rallying the hearts and minds of the people while focusing on heat he does best. This need not be a man who came top of his class. If we as a people can only have the leader we deserve, what leader do we deserve now? 🤔
Given the level of our political illiteracy as a people we may be tending towards another blunder in 2019. The PACT if still valid as a coalition must sort their issues internally and show their political savvy in decorum. This only show how faulty their strategy is by the way.
The educated elites are most often obstructed from seeing the bigger picture thus falling victim of the same plague of perpetual aspirants who can’t get above the vices of the elevation of self above the interest of the collective.
What exactly is more important, you being President or Change? There are 2 defined and tested paths to power. The first being the weight of the force of the masses and second, by alliance with someone who already have overwhelming public support.
We demonstrated this with the #EndSARS campaign. There need not be any Ambiguity for you to become a rallying point of the people. By share weight of the numbers based on common ground we were able to force and effect the needed change. Where is your clear message dear Aspirants?
What we have seen are nothing but general posturing but not definitive position. #EndSARS was clear and void of ambiguity. #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG period. It was direct and assertive. Since most of the aspirant don’t have overwhelming support across interests (common ground)
...that leaves us with alignment via viable coalition but unfortunately persons of interest that are the focal points/rallying points have shown intention to run themselves and they won’t come to your page unless you go under their canopy. So you see the dilemma?
So @Kelvin_Odanz and @DemolaRewaju you can see where we are Socio-Politically and how much work we need to do to educate the public politically on statecraft and the unique masses in the Nigerian political space.

Thanks @DemolaRewaju for your atticism & clarity on political cum historical facts. Let me clear the air on my position. First, I didn’t strategize for the PDP & have never met the leadership of the party in any regard. I strategized for the future of Nigeria with the President.
It has neither ethno religious coloration nor political partisanship. All I told him before the election came to pass and all we deliberated on happened just as forecasted. He became a winner despite the loss of the election because he meant well for all & value good counsel.
After election I did gave free advices on how the PDP could build back the party in order to avoid having a unitary party system (an advocacy that brought about the creation of the APC Merger- of which I was involved in its strategic birth, when PDP became complacent).

As wonderful as this idea is, it won’t win the election. The battle ground geopolitical zone is not SS or SE but the SW. If @Atiku can pick a formidable influential youth from the SW (Male/Female) it will make the difference. NOI can always serve in the Admin with impact.
Also, he may need to allow the record reflect that he is only running this time to deliver Nigeria from the current darkness that envelopes her by deploying his resources and political structures to that effect as a legacy and would not seek a second term.
This way, the platitude of a promise by the leadership of the APC, void of integrity, on 2023 Presidential zoning to the SW will be neutralized and reinvigorated by a promise they can take to the bank and act upon should there be a breach.

When it comes to Money, Virtue is often defenestrated (virtually thrown out the window). The forth coming election would either be Won, Bought or Stolen. With the position of @inecnigeria in collusion with those bent on rigging the election with fictitious figures, this is clear.
90% (if not all) of the elections conducted under this “Regime” has been fraught with electoral fraud thus when opposition wins election it is declared inconclusive and rigged via an unconscionable re-run designed to disenfranchise the people. So a Win is out of the question.
Better phrased, a Win may not be enough under this Regime if you are not in Tahir favored books. The Wife of the president even raised an alarm over injustices within the President’s party let alone the wrath reserved for the opposition just to retain power by force.

Vengeance is a lazy form of Grief. ⛱
The simplest of tweets can be far more complicated than threads. This one right here can be a book yet barely scratch the surface of the expression. I’m simply saying, don’t confuse Vengeance with Justice the same way Anger must not be confused with Strength. ⛱
There are many people out there broken into pieces and seeking those that are whole to break just to get even with life. We must understand that sadness sometimes carry a whole lot of weight that often times attempt to stop you from breathing.

Your attitude and character is everything. If you can’t contain your hate and prejudices simply because of a tweet you read, then nothing else matters. You will always find anything you seek. If you want to be offended even a harmless emoji will set you ablaze. Watch it.
I really don’t know the motive of deploying hate towards people who see things differently. Changing a mind is different from having an argument. Persuasion takes patience, skill and insight, not force. You can’t insult me into supporting your sentiments. 🤔
You must never forget the next line of action when people undermine you. When they think they can walk over your Heart with their dirty feet, when they take your softness for weakness.

I’m sore disappointed in the development coming from @OfficialAPCNg primaries in Bauchi. Where @alouibrahim92 was rigged out despite the people’s support in huge numbers. Thugs were deployed and voters were harassed. Result sheets falsified in collusion with party officials. 😞
This is how APC is losing their great potentials. All those I knew from back in the days of great sacrifices for fo CPC/APC have been frustrated out of the party. The few that managed to keep the faith are now being disincentivized. Where’s their automatic ticket despite loyalty?
Is this what @MBuhari will be remembered for? All your loyal men/women ruined because of self centered party politics that ostracizes and impoverishes the people. Is the APC reserved for families and friends now? 2019 will be very interesting. This is really pathetic. @abellodam
