#BBCBias off the scale on #bbcbreakfast
The segment was about 4 minutes, the clip below is a short edit of a propaganda piece. No fact checking or asking for evidence by the presenter who clearly has her own agenda given this soft interview.
More details on this THREAD..
(1/6)
Bias highlights (1)
- Progress described as a “Labour think tank”. They’re NOT. They organise in Labour, have contributed to candidate slates in internal elections etc. And crucially have been vehemently against Corbyn from day one. No reference to this or questioning of motives
Bias highlights (2)
Progress person allowed to say:
- Labour has taken no action on anti semitism (this is patently false, why not questioned the way #VictoriaLIVE did?
- Bullying widespread through Labour. No asking for what basis or evidence there is for saying this.
Bias highlights (3)
And to cap it all off the Progress person says its not about the person (Ie JC) but about what Labour should do (policy wise). Progress and the other Blairites have offered no policy alternatives to Labour’s manifesto. This is well known so why no rebuttal?
McGovern’s bias and slack approach is unfortunately all too typical of the BBC these days. There are rare exceptions. Compare and contrast McGovern’s approach with the professional and well researched way Victoria Derbyshire tackles some of the same ground
This was no one off bad day or just one sloppy journalist. #BBCbias against Corbyn has been heavy and without restraint since he first ran for the leadership. See the attached Thread for more.
Bottom line: we can no longer trust any BBC reporting of Labour

Stop taking the bait!
That's my message to all comrades on the Left. Stop taking the bait from provocation posts from Blairites and hard core extreme zionists. Us engaging with these posts is exactly what they want.
This THREAD on why and what to do instead..
(1/6)
These posts some by minor personalities are distractions. They don't cut through to the wider public. These posts are not designed to persuade anyone but to bait. They're aim is to stoke up their own bubble and to get a reaction from their opponents, us.
(2/6)
By reacting, we do two things that help them, not us:
1) their message gets amplified to a bigger audience and 2) they get a negative reaction which allows them to portray themselves as victims.

#BrokenMedia | #PoliticalBias | #BroadcastMedia | I think we all get why off shore oligarch billionaires who own the press hate Corbyn but why are the “independent” TV news biased?
This Thread on that blatant bias, first Jeremy himself calls it out..
(1/7)
#BrokenMedia | #PoliticalBias | #BroadcastMedia | The bias against Corbyn has led to the distortion of truth on an industrial scale. Here @OwenJones84 calls out just one example much to the BBC presenter’s annoyance
(2/7)
#BrokenMedia | #PoliticalBias | #BroadcastMedia | The BBC, strangely for the “impartial” public broadcaster is the most biased. Listen to this clip on how the BBC describe Corbyn to its World Service audience as being in the “pro Soviet Union camp”

Chuka Umunna is the media's go to person when they want a Labour comment on many things especially Brexit, even though he's not a front bencher and doesn't support Labour Brexit position. For fairness the media should be truthful about his history as covered on the Thread below:
The core question about Chuka Umunna: Is he principled or just an opportunist? Take a people's vote, i.e. another referendum on #Brexit. He's championing one now but only a short while ago he was dead against one.
