We @NILC_org have the great privilege of representing them along w/ @MaketheRoadNY & @WiracYls. Since then #DACA recipients have also courageously sued as have @DemocraticAGs & our civil rights partners like @NAACP & @MALDEF are also defending #DACA 3/
Despite telling #DACA recipients not to worry, @realDonaldTrump blocked every bipartisan effort to solve the crisis he created including the bipartisan USA Act co-sponsored by the late @SenMcCain. 4/ #DreamAct
Instead, @reaIDonaldTrumo showed his true colors w/racist "shit hole" comments against our Black immigrant brothers & sisters and attempts to radically reform our legal immigration system. 5/
A year later, #DACA is still in place today b/c #DACA recipients fought back & the courts in CA & NY blocked #Trump from terminating the successful program. Thanks to those courageous #immigrant youth leaders recipients can still renew their #DACA today! 6/6
