Trying to figure out the energy here and it's like when they locked us all in the high school after prom and gave us activities until 6am so we wouldn't drink and drive #xoxofest

I started watching a show called Killing Eve on the plane and it's giving me life right now
It's about an M15 agent (Sandra Oh) who ends up hunting an assassin (Jodie Comer) with the help of her coworker (Kirby Howell-Baptiste) and it's funny as hell
That's right, two women of color hunting a white woman as she kills men across Europe

Hey friends, I need some good book recommendations. Something engrossing and preferably written by a woman.

Examples:
- Gone Girl
- Ancillary Justice
- The Fifth Season
- old school Anne Rice
- mysteries, southern gothic, something that keeps me glued to the page
Doesn't have to be a series. Standalone is fine. But it needs to grab me and hold me. I need an escape.
Keep the suggestions coming. I'm going to research, make a list, and see what the library has.
