Hey @CNN, @Lawrence, @MSNBC, and the rest of you who give trustwash this attorney, can we talk about Tully's Coffee and what transpired in Washington State? How could you raise up a source and not give the context of his business dealings and conflicts?
First of all, the story was already out there in lurid detail, how "Global Baristas, LLC" bought this coffee chain and ripped off employees, landlords, and state taxation authorities.
Mr. Avenatti sets up an LLC in Washington state, buy Tully's at auction, rips it apart, and sends it into bankruptcy.
Who does he hire for the bankruptcy? BAKER HOSTETLER, who also worked for Natalia Veselnitskaya for PREVEZON. You know, part of the @BillBrowder case?
What else was BakerHostetler involved with? Hiring FusionGPS for a dossier that's been used all over the place for Russia-covering propaganda to jam up the work of the actual intelligence community.
This is all open source. Your bookers could get this and inform your audience.
This action resulted in what appears to be quite a detailed and substantive bar disciplinary action complaint.
Here's the whole thing. And some pertinent samples. And there are court dockets if your bookers can bother getting a PACER account. documentcloud.org/documents/4433…
Witholding payroll taxes from employees checks AND NOT SENDING THEM TO THE GOVERNMENT is a VERY BAD THING.
Failing to pay state tax, also not very cool. Just ask 'em.
Also ditching workers' comp taxes that pay workers hurt on the job.
Yeah, sounds like the work of a liberal saint, all right.
And if you had an interest in ACTUAL INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM, you might dig into the coffee industry, its consolidation, and how much Tully's business dealings stunk to begin with. There are nested LLCs, interestingly timed transactions.
What was your security clearance to obtain this information, and how much does Barry Diller pay you? And why do you engage "journalists" paid by @pierre? You know, espionage agent Glenn Greenwald's latest patron?
Because if a Senator like @JohnCornyn, with access to official information, is lying about political warfare operations, he needs to be forced to resign.
1. We need a news media. Fairness Doctrine reinstalled. That does it's fucking job. And no, we're not falling in Russia's "all the news is fake" trap. We're onto it.
2. We're done with bought-off whores for politicians.
