(1) Let’s talk about a recent post in the European Council on Foreign Relations (@ecfr) website regarding sanctions on #Iran.
And the complete lie the European Council has resorted to. ecfr.eu/article/commen…
(2) At a first glance, the article seems to care about #Iran’s people “reporting shortages in life-saving medicine.”
Of course, the article fails to provide any source to show how they put forward such an argument.
(3) “The UN special rapporteur for human rights warned that the sanctions will undermine human rights in the country, drive people into poverty, and make imported goods unaffordable.”
This is a complete lie & I’ll explain why.
(4) Citing “UN special rapporteur for human rights,” the link refers to a report by Idriss Jazairy, the UN “Human Rights Council as the first Special Rapporteur on the negative impact of the unilateral coercive measures on the enjoyment of human rights.” ohchr.org/EN/NewsEvents/…
(5) This shows how the European Council on Foreign Relations resorts to a complete lie while hiding behind the Iranian people’s medical concerns.
Congratulations to @ecfr for parroting the same lies as #Iran’s regime & its list of apologists/lobbyists!
I’ll explain further.
(6) I specifically debunked that report when I noticed @tparsi retweeting @AliVaez citing the text.
(7) “International sanctions must have a lawful purpose, must be proportional, and must not harm the human rights of ordinary citizens, and none of these criteria is met in this case,” Jazairy stressed.
(8) Of course, Jazairy, just like the @ecfr, fails to provide any links to facts showing U.S. sanctions are harming "the human rights of ordinary citizens..." in #Iran.
(9) “These unjust and harmful sanctions are destroying the economy and currency of Iran, driving millions of people into poverty and making imported goods unaffordable,” Mr. Jazairy stressed...
(10) I have explained in previous threads, but will do so again.
#Iran's regime has destroyed the country's economy for 39 years & counting.
80% of the society lives in poerty, according to Deutsche Welle Farsi. dw.com/fa-ir/%DB%B8%D…
(12) Jazairy & the @ecfr also won't tell you that #Iran intends to spend even more on reconstructing #Syria, not providing for ordinary Iranians back home.
(13) Jazairy & the @ecfr won't tell you that #Iran spends hundreds of millions of dollars supporting the terrorist Lebanese Hezbollah. thenational.ae/world/the-amer…
(14) Jazairy & the @ecfr won't tell you that #Iran spends hundreds of millions - if not billions - fueling the Houthis' destruction campaign in #Yemen. reuters.com/article/us-yem…
(15) This explains many things vividly about #Iran's regime wasting billions abroad & the people suffering...
(16) Jazairy & the @ecfr won't tell you that #Iran spends billions of dollars on weapons programs & terrorism, while the Iranian people are suffering & chanting:
"Not Gaza, Not Lebanon"
"Forget Syria, think about us" foxnews.com/world/2018/01/…
(17) Jazairy & the @ecfr wont' tell you that the Iranian people are suffering because they're ruled by a corrupt regime that very easily says "$9 billion of government currency has gone missing..."
(19) "... the U.S. maintains broad authorizations and exceptions that allow for the sale of food, medicine, and medical devices by U.S. persons or from the United States to Iran."
(20) "U.S. sanctions laws provide similar allowances for sales of food, agricultural commodities, medicine, and medical devices to Iran by non-U.S. persons."
(21) "To further assist non-U.S. persons, including banks and medical suppliers, in fully understanding these allowances, this Guidance underscores that these sales to Iran do not trigger sanctions under U.S. law."
(23) "The U.N. report 'makes the astounding claim that the Russian government of Vladimir Putin is a victim of human rights violations, and that the perpetrators are the EU and the U.S.,' said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, a non-governmental human rights group."
(24) Jazairy also rushed to the rescue of Sudan, describing the genocidal regime as a "human rights victim" ... unwatch.org/uns-idriss-jaz…
(25) Believe me, I found Jazairy's background through a 5-min Google search.
(26) One day we may learn that Jazairy was paid by #Iran's regime to prepare such a report.
When @tparsi & @SinaToossi tweets or RTs something, beware & rest assured there's some #FakeNews in it.
(27) The @ecfr express its actual objective here, by literally lobbying for #Iran:
“…Iran continues to implement restrictions on its nuclear programme under the 2015 deal. Europe, China, and Russia have also vowed to uphold the agreement.”’
(28) “The European Commission recently announced it will provide an €18m economic package for the social benefit of ordinary Iranians.”
Is the @ecfr certain the money will benefit “ordinary Iranians?”
#Iran’s regime can’t be trusted.
Yet @FedericaMog continues to appease them.
(29) And BTW, I discussed the recent European Union aid package here.
#BREAKING
U.S. President Donald Trump has accepted the resignation of Nikki Haley as UN Ambassador.
My gut tells me an even bigger story will develop.
Rest assured #Iran's regime is terrified about who Trump/Pompeo will appoint as their new envoy. axios.com/donald-trump-n…

Amb. Nikki Haley spoke six months ago with President Donald Trump about the subject of resigning.
Will be staying at this post until the end of the year.

2) "Criminal networks are using Iran as a transit point for illicit Somali charcoal exports that earn Islamist militants al Shabaab millions of dollars annually in tax, U.N. sanctions monitors said in a report seen by Reuters."
3) "... domestic revenue generation by al Qaeda-affiliated al Shabaab 'is more geographically diversified and systematic' than that of Somalia’s federal government."
