Let’s talk about how #Iran apologists/lobbyists, such as @tparsi, are becoming desperate & resorting to unprecedentedly low propaganda against the Iranian opposition #PMOI/#MEK.
This caught my eye.
They couldn’t get this published anywhere such as CNN, Al Jazeera English or other such (in my opinion) #FakeNews outlets favoring an appeasement approach with #Iran’s regime.

The criteria is too low, even for them!
This is so ridiculous I won’t even discuss the article.

To be fair, you can read it if you like and see for yourself.
Just one counter-argument:

If the Iranian opposition #PMOI/#MEK was involved in illegal financial activities, would U.S. authorities authorize their presence/activities inside the U.S.? Would Europe approve their presence/activities on its soil?
The objective of this thread is to shed light on the background of Massoud Khodabandeh, the main source of the above-mentioned article.
“The Pentagon-commissioned report claims that Mrs. Singleton and her Iranian husband, Massoud Khodabandeh, 56, agreed to work for the regime in return for saving the life of his jailed brother…”
On Singleton:
“During her stay in Tehran, she received training from MOIS. After her return to England, she launched the iran-interlink.org Web site in the winter of 2002.”
Win Griffiths, former UK MP
"... seeking the return to Britain of two Iranian refugees illegally sent to Iran by Syrian authorities, one of whom was E Khodabandeh, the brother of M Khodabandeh, I was surprised to see Anne Khodabandeh in Evin prison.”
“Iran’s MOIS has recently attempted to demonize and silence a British politician through the efforts of Khodabandeh’s wife.”
“Anne Singleton, a British citizen, and Mr Massoud Khodabandeh, have been denounced for their activities in support of the Iranian MOIS, especially via their Iran-interlink.org website.”
UK MP Sir David Amess:
“Mr Khodabandeh and his wife, Ann Singleton, have long engaged in attacks and defamation campaigns against the PMOI.”
Massoud Khodabandeh is a known #Iran regime intelligence operative, the Ministry of Intelligence & Security (MOIS).
Here’s him being interviewed by @PressTV, the regime’s main English #FakeNews/propaganda machine.
“Massoud Khodabandeh is one of nine VEVAK (MOIS) agents and two Iranian embassy associates detained by the French police for attacking Iranian dissidents in Paris in mid-June of this year.”
Here is an image of three of the nine agents arrested.
“concern about the activities of Massoud Khodabandeh & his wife, Anne, in trying to divert attention away from the dangerous dictates of the mullahs’ regime & the activities of the Iranian regime in democratic countries like the United Kingdom.”
“In witness statements provided to British Court by members of the British Committee for Iran Freedom, MPs and Peers set out the ways in which the regime and its Ministry of Intelligence operate in Britain…”
Interesting is how Khodabandeh didn’t publish his views in the Huffington Post, where he is a contributor, most likely knowing the editorial board would take the piece down.
Therefore, please beware of anything said or written by Massoud Khodabandeh & his wife, Ann Singleton.
As shown citing different officials & sources, they’re operatives of #Iran’s regime.
As always, the conclusion is yours to make.

I welcome any & all constructive feedback.

Thank you for reading!

U.S. President Donald Trump has accepted the resignation of Nikki Haley as UN Ambassador.

My gut tells me an even bigger story will develop.

Rest assured #Iran's regime is terrified about who Trump/Pompeo will appoint as their new envoy.
Amb. Nikki Haley spoke six months ago with President Donald Trump about the subject of resigning.
Will be staying at this post until the end of the year.
Amb. Nikki Haley saying she will be campaigning for President Trump in 2020.

Add this to the long list linking #Iran's regime with international terrorism.

This time, the al Qaeda-affiliated al Shabaab militant group of Somalia.

More reason why a firm policy is needed against Tehran.
"Criminal networks are using Iran as a transit point for illicit Somali charcoal exports that earn Islamist militants al Shabaab millions of dollars annually in tax, U.N. sanctions monitors said in a report seen by Reuters."
"... domestic revenue generation by al Qaeda-affiliated al Shabaab 'is more geographically diversified and systematic' than that of Somalia’s federal government."

Reports indicate atmosphere in #Iran's parliament (the Majlis) is very tense as members review the anti-money laundering Financial Action Task Force (FATF) signing bill.
Sources say "hardliners" are voicing threats about the signing of this bill.

(File Photo)
"Regarding the FATF, should we commit suicide today by signing this bill because we're going to die in the future?" says Behrouz Nemati, a member of #Iran's Majlis (parliament).

Read more about Iran & the FATF here:
"Hardliners in Iran’s parliament have opposed passing legislation toward compliance with FATF standards, arguing it could hamper Iranian financial support for allies such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which the US has classified as a terrorist organization."

Short Thread:

#Iran's #FakeNews machine at work:

"It did not say where Zahedifar was arrested. In a video carried by state broadcaster IRIB, a blindfolded man who identified himself as Zahedifar denied he had fled Iran."
Here's the video.

What a coincidence (!), all of this developing just "a week after Tehran sentenced three people to death in a drive against economic crimes."
