I am feeling bad abt that boundaries post. A trans person made it. But regardless I understand it is helpful & personal, prob shd not be posted online to be torn apart. There’s an understanding that certain ppl hv less resilience for personal boundaries due to social oppressions

but also how sexuality/gender/race alter our capacity for bodily&mental boundaries & direct communication from trauma also bc of how others react to us. The atomist self-care model is just not sufficient! 4liberation from this mental prison. We need community & a better language.

It is not a good framework, we need to break free from it

Thats not what a boundary is. Boundaries are recognizing your own human limitations based on your priorities & vocalizing to ppl around you, in mutual adjustment&honesty, understanding their boundaries—Not imagining others are imposing on you &reacting to ppl based on projections

What is described in point form is mostly accepting that you exist+accepting you exist in relation to others, which is the precondition to engagement: that you will identify your own human feelings & take responsibility of your behaviours, in earnest abt your intentions w others

These point forms can’t function as blanket statements because in general we can’t predict how anybody will act & vice versa until we have developed an understanding. In order to anticipate someone’s needs, we need a context+history. We need to choose how to act for one another.
