#SCOTUS will hear arguments to overturn the “Dual Sovereignty Doctrine” which currently allows both federal and state prosecutions. Overturning the “Dual Sovereignty Doctrine” would tie the hands of states to prosecute that which has already been prosecuted under federal law... 
when states seek lengthier sentences, when feds seek revenge justice at state level or simply seek to pile on.
The Amicus filed by Sen. Orrin Hatch, in support of the petition, argues the doctrine violates the Double Jeopardy rule & places undue burden on both legislators (mentioned several times) to craft appropriate sentencing & the citizen prosecuted under both fed law..
Sen. Orrin Hatch also contends the Federal laws have become so numerous and expansive, they overlap state laws to the point that prosecutions under similar State laws are no longer necessary. ‘States will not challenge the encroachment of federalism.’
In conclusion, holding the current administration & possibly others to follow, will become impossible as this is the last step in America becoming a kleptocracy, fast approaching fascism. Yes Roe v. Wade is important. All the ethical issues facing #Kavanaugh are important..
