People of my generation feel depressed, anguished. People with political axes to grind are expressing rage or glee depending on their affiliations. Older generation like those of my parents feel that the Lord knows what is best and acts through human agencies or through Nature.
The biggest circus, the electronic media, is stirring up such a cockfight. People who have no stake in the issue except political, act up with anchors playing ringmasters and get paid for their appearance.
In the meanwhile Hinduism marches on like an old elephant. Like it has always done. Westwards. One step ahead of the setting Sun. Proud to be a Hindu. Will always be.
