PTSD is much more than just the mental and physical trauma that we are exposed to.
When our body is threatened, it responds SYSTEMICALLY. Not just in the brain.
The damage to the brain is actually a consequence of the uncontrolled cytokine INFLAMMATION.

By only focusing on the mental and physical stressors and not addressing the environmental and biological stressors, our PTSD is only being half handled.
Stressors are mental, physical, biological and environmental.

The oxidative stress that our body's are exposed to are just as traumatic to our nervous system.
Oxidative stress occurs when our body doesn't know how to process a chemical reaction properly.
We may not "see the trauma" but our body responds regardless.

Starting a systemic wide anti inflammatory protocol should be priority one in a veteran diagnosed with PTSD.
Cannabis is known to work as an amazing cytokine anti inflammatory.
That's the reason that it works so well for us veterans with PTSD and anxiety disorders.
