Woman falsely accused her EX-boyfriend of rape, but it turned out he wasn't even in the same state at the time she claimed it happened. She got a slap on the wrist.

First, note that they also say, well, except sometimes you have to go their timeline. Yeah, OOOkay. You can see anyone's tweets if you go to their timeline, unless they're private.
Second, this isn't just about being able to see tweets of people I follow. I want to follow other people and I want to see what other people, that I don't follow, are saying. I want to be able to search & find what I'm looking for, but an't because Twitter hides tweets in search.
