Alexander Poteyev, the ex-Russian intelligence officer who gave up Anna Chapman & other Russian spies to the CIA, was presumed dead since 2016. Found in Florida, the CIA asked journalists not to disclose his data, once found by matching a fishing license. en.crimerussia.com/gromkie-dela/e…
Alexander Poteyev had already fled to the United States when in 2011 the Russian court sentenced him to 25 years in prison.
September 2018, the @NYTimes stated that an assassination attempt on Poteyev was planned by the Kremlin, but that the FBI had prevented it.
