Can we talk about how, at the end of the day, the Evangelical support of Kavanaugh is because they devalue us to the point of sexual assault on the altar of being "pro-life?"

They are DESPERATE to overturn Roe V Wade.

It's why they elected Trump. They've been working towards criminalizing abortion for DECADES.

Because, at the end of the day, they still view women as property. As Chattel.

It's why they pushed purity culture, to the detriment of the mental health of a an entire generation (or two or three).

They don't see anyone "different" as being equal, in any sense of the word.

The privileged white male patriarchal assholes know exactly what they're doing.

If you're not a white human possessing a penis, you're worth less than them. Your opinions, your life, your very HUMANITY isn't worth as much as theirs, so they will control yours.

For women, it's their sexuality and reproductive rights.

For the LGBT+ community, it's their freedom to marry, raise children, sometimes even EXIST.

For brown people...well...ffs.

I'm nowhere NEAR qualified to discuss hundreds of years of systemic violence and oppression.

So can we stop pretending like the patriarchy isn't anything less than inherently dangerous?

Can we stop pretending like this fascism isn't happening?

Like they're once again utilizing theocratic ideals as a means of gaining control?

My and my #Exvangelical friends have been SCREECHING about ALL of this for YEARS now.

And now we're seeing it all culminate at the supreme court. Where we knew it would.

We grew up in Gilead. But we've all seen this movie.
