Let’s talk about Joe Cirincione’s (@cirincione) recent @Lobelog article claiming U.S. President Donald Trump is marching towards war with #Iran.

Cirincione is another Iran regime apologist/lobbyist.

I’ll explain.
First of all, let’s get acquainted with Joe Cirincione.

@cirincione has very close relations with Trita Parsi (@tparsi), a very well-known, die hard #Iran regime apologist/lobbyist.
Here’s @cirincione in another discussion with @tparsi & Barbara Slavin (@barbaraslavin1).

Yes, Slavin is yet another #Iran regime apologist/lobbyist.
And who exactly is @barbaraslavin1?

Well, she has very close relations with #Iran’s regime & is fond of taking pictures with their senior officials.

And standing alongside a poster of Khomeini…
And here is Slavin being very professional (!) & giving the middle finger to supporters of an #Iran opposition group rallying in Washington.

(BTW, Slaving doesn’t like me since I remind everyone about her close relations with Tehran. So she blocked me. LOL!)
So now that we have gotten acquainted with @cirincione & his friends, let’s get to know “The Ploughshares Fund.”

Cirincione is the President of Ploughshares.
Here’s an important @Kredo0 read on @cirincione dating back to 2016.
“The latest probe, launched by Rep. Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.), centers on Joe Cirincione, president of the Ploughshares Fund, a left-leaning foundation that quietly bankrolled a core part of the White House’s campaign to sell the nuclear agreement.”
“Cirincione visited the White House almost 30 times in the past few years during the administration’s diplomacy with Iran, prompting Pompeo to launch a wide-ranging probe into Ploughshares’ efforts to slant reporting on the Iran deal,...”
“Cirincione did several interviews at NPR and other outlets boosting the nuclear deal, and billed himself as a top source for reporters seeking information about the administration's diplomacy.”
"Ploughshares’ contributions, totaling $700,000 to National Public Radio (NPR) over the past several years, raised concerns of bias and journalistic ethics."
And here’s another @kredo0 read covering @tparsi’s White House visits during the Obama years.
In his @Lobelog piece, @cirincione follows a known practice of #Iran regime apologist/lobbyists.

Terrifying the reader by claiming Trump intends to go to war with Iran & seeks regime change.

This is a lie.
Trump’s administration has made it clear time & again they don’t pursue a regime change policy with #Iran.
@cirincione pats himself on the back of signing a statement with “53 top national security former officials and experts” on Trump’s #Iran policy.
I already debunked that poorly-worded statement.
@cirincione criticizes Trump for terminating the 1955 Treaty of Amity w/ Iran.
Here’s why Cirincione is a complete hypocrite (another characteristic of an #Iran regime apologist/lobbyist).
In a desperate effort, @cirincione criticizes the very effective Iran Action Group.

Because they’re making life miserable for #Iran’s regime.
@cirincione then parrots the position of #Iran’s regime after Bolton & Pompeo have raised the heat against #Iran’s malign activities in the region, especially through its proxies targeting U.S. interests in Iraq recently.
@cirincione then criticizes the U.S. & it’s regional allies regarding their role in Yemen.

Of course, Cirincione won’t talk about how #Iran’s regime is the cause of this misery for the people of Yemen.
@cirincione won’t mention the fact that #Iran spends hundreds of millions - if not billions - fueling the Houthis' destruction campaign in Yemen?
To wrap up my thoughts, I believe @cirincione, just like all other #Iran regime apologists/lobbyists, misses the Obama years & how the mullahs enjoyed 8 years of unbridled appeasement.

Here’s how I remember Obama.
By the way, @Lobelog isn’t considered a credible news source at all.

Here’s why.
As always, the conclusion is yours to make.

Thanks for reading!

I leave you with this question:

Should lobbying for #Iran, being the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism, be considered a crime?
For those seeking more info linking @Cirincione to #Iran's regime, and it's main lobby in the U.S., @NIACouncil, here's a good read by @IranianForum.
"Mousavian was admitted to US in 2009 as a scholar at Princeton University & ... has been financed by Ploughshares Fund & has been lobbying in favor of Iranian regime & working closely w/ former & current high ranking US officials who favor engagement & friendship w/ Iran."
Mousavian participated in dozens of conferences "entirely in favor of Tehran and they were all financed by US foundations (including Ploughshare) that allegedly seek peace and progress around the globe."
"Mousavian was recently in Tehran where he gave several interviews and complained that the regime’s lobby in the US is not satisfactory and the government should dedicate more resources to influence US Congress members."
"On Sep 13, 2012 U.S. District Judge John Bates dismissed the lawsuit & in a 2nd ruling, sanctioned NIAC & Trita Parsi for discovery abuses including false declaration to the court & ordered them to pay $184K for defendant’s legal expenses."
Read this link about the second ruling:

And read more about @NIACouncil losing a defamation lawsuit and being punished for legal abuses.

U.S. President Donald Trump has accepted the resignation of Nikki Haley as UN Ambassador.

My gut tells me an even bigger story will develop.

Rest assured #Iran's regime is terrified about who Trump/Pompeo will appoint as their new envoy.
Amb. Nikki Haley spoke six months ago with President Donald Trump about the subject of resigning.
Will be staying at this post until the end of the year.
Amb. Nikki Haley saying she will be campaigning for President Trump in 2020.

Add this to the long list linking #Iran's regime with international terrorism.

This time, the al Qaeda-affiliated al Shabaab militant group of Somalia.

More reason why a firm policy is needed against Tehran.
"Criminal networks are using Iran as a transit point for illicit Somali charcoal exports that earn Islamist militants al Shabaab millions of dollars annually in tax, U.N. sanctions monitors said in a report seen by Reuters."
"... domestic revenue generation by al Qaeda-affiliated al Shabaab 'is more geographically diversified and systematic' than that of Somalia’s federal government."

Reports indicate atmosphere in #Iran's parliament (the Majlis) is very tense as members review the anti-money laundering Financial Action Task Force (FATF) signing bill.
Sources say "hardliners" are voicing threats about the signing of this bill.

(File Photo)
"Regarding the FATF, should we commit suicide today by signing this bill because we're going to die in the future?" says Behrouz Nemati, a member of #Iran's Majlis (parliament).

Read more about Iran & the FATF here:
"Hardliners in Iran’s parliament have opposed passing legislation toward compliance with FATF standards, arguing it could hamper Iranian financial support for allies such as Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which the US has classified as a terrorist organization."

Short Thread:

#Iran's #FakeNews machine at work:

"It did not say where Zahedifar was arrested. In a video carried by state broadcaster IRIB, a blindfolded man who identified himself as Zahedifar denied he had fled Iran."
Here's the video.

What a coincidence (!), all of this developing just "a week after Tehran sentenced three people to death in a drive against economic crimes."
