Study in Australia #thread: Timeline for July 2019 intake.
If you have plans to go to Australia for either undergrad or postgraduate study, then this is for you to give you an idea about what to do in which month for the July intake.
1. Your first step should start October to December 2018. Shortlist 3-4 universities that you will apply to. Visit website and check application requirements and most importantly deadlines.
By December, be familiar with the scholarships in Australia to fund your studies.
Still in December, do not forget to do some research on various accommodation options to assist you with planning.
2. January to Feb 2019: Prepare to visit your local institution to request for English language test waiver letter. The letter must be in letterhead, signed and stamped. Plan for buffer time in case your school frustrate you a little. You know Nigeria 😊
3. Feb to April 2019 - It's application time. Before you prepare for your application, think hard about what makes you unique as an applicant and sketch out your strength. Draft SOP and essays. Contact your professors for 1-2 reference letters. Apply before deadline!
Often times, I recommend applicant to use education consult for application. With this taken off your shoulders you can then concentrate on sorting out financial means and scholarship application.
You can start with @TripPaddyStudy or find preferred company of your choice.
4. May -June 2019. What next: Often check your email, don't delay replying to college emails because there will be quite a few. You may receive your offer letter called COE(Confirmation of Enrolment) You will need to pay a non refundable deposit to confirm your admission.
Depending on the deadline, notify the universities of your decision.
You can apply for a student visa only after receiving CoE and sorting out deposit to confirm your admission.

Thinking about moving to Australia under skilled migrant but don’t know how to start? I will be listing about 5 important things you need to know before you start. So you’ll have fewer headaches to deal with as i guide you through the process.
Before I list them, let me explain a bit about Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190)
This visa allows skilled workers who are nominated by an Australian state or territory government to live and work in Australia as a permanent resident. Just like Canada express entry.
