One of my desert island songs. And albums. This record helped save my life at a very bad time.
One of the things I really love about this record is how RAW it is. Tempos fluctuate, harmonies are a little off, everybody makes mistakes, but it sounds fucking majestic anyway. That's how music should be.
The "mistakes" make it better somehow. This is a characteristic of a lot of my favorite albums, they're not perfect and that's a big part of their majesty.

Did the GOP gain a tiny advantage by having Michael Avenatti as a foil?

Come on now. Shouldn’t we know by now that this process had nothing do with honest debate or its effect on public opinion?
The GOP rolled America. This wasn’t representative democracy, it was an in-your-face power grab.
And right wing media is pushing Avenatti as the "cause" tonight because they REALLY want you to focus on him instead of the real agents of today's disaster: them.

Oh come on. I'm not a huge fan of Avenatti, but this outcome was never in doubt, with or without Avenatti. Pretending otherwise is denying reality. This blame game is pointless. Blame the GOP.
If Avenatti weren't there, the GOP would have seized on something else. It's WHAT THEY DO.
Oh, I see now. Looking around right wing Twitter I see all the usual suspects trying to plant the idea that Democrats "overplayed their hand." The technical term for this "BULLSHIT."

I ran screaming away from the right before it was cool to run screaming away from the right. And got slimed by the New York Times for it.
I let a Times reporter interview me in my home, and then he went to Pamela Freaking Geller for a derogatory quote about me. And he wanted to use false accusations from outright stalkers until I threatened to sue if he did.
Yes, I am still seriously pissed off about that. It was a sleazy hit job, promoted to me as a sympathetic profile.

This was really something. A glance of the inner Trump - a guy who's contemptuous of other people in general, but especially women.
