“Ted Bosen, vice chairman of Coos County Democratic Committee, announced his resignation from his post and said he intended to un-enroll from the party, arguing the Dems should have done more to support Kathleen Kelley’s campaign.” (Woodburn’s primary opponent).

Woodburn’s trial will likely be held in December, he said. He indicated he would continue to serve through his trial if re-elected.

“Ted Bosen had previously called a special meeting of the Coos County committee Aug. 10 to discuss drafting a statement calling on Woodburn to resign – a week after the arrest. Only two out of seven members showed up, and no resolution was agreed to.”

Woodburn was charged last month with simple assault, domestic violence, criminal mischief and trespassing. After the charges were announced, Woodburn suspended his campaign and stepped aside from his role as Senate minority leader.

But the Dems chose him again.

“For all of their empty moralizing on “women’s rights,” Democratic politicians have proven unwilling to defend women when it truly matters. Their supposed moral certitude vanishes when their fellow progressive warriors are credibly accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct.”
