At Planning Commission to discuss the importance of transit-supportive density as well as oppose small area neighborhood plans. Specifically, the North Shoal Creek NP.
Commissioner Connor Kenny inquiring to the staff about the neighborhood planning process.

Asking about who showed up to the community engagement events.

Staff:
-older single-family homeowners were overwhelmingly represented but almost no renters
Staff: we decided to not upzone these to transition zoning.

Also acknowledging that majority of population is renters. (despite them not being present at community engagement)

.@DeLunaEva ever seen a map or graphic of Texas tax revenue (versus outlays) by county or zip code?

It's my hunch that the cities are heavily subsidizing rural and suburban interests at the State level. I mean, this clearly happens w/TXDOT highway projects.
