How many ring roads will you make for an ever growing city? Imagine the ecological disaster digging up materials.
Mind you, theoney poured on cities are actually decreasing spending on even one layer of metalled road in rural areas.
While I like the highways projects, idea should be based on developing strategic sections, coupled with discouraging urbanization.
Encourage ppl to move to their homes. Its a 360° project. Let ppl use public transport. Overtime, ppl will move back to villages / towns.
Cities shouldn't be this big. (Am still exploring options to move to a tier - 2 town.)
Cities, are, in my view the worst thing to have happened to mankind. We weren't like this before. In India.
Even distant villages were stunningly advanced that we're being basic solutions even today from there.
In this age of internet, ppl can easily work from anywhere. Only jobs that needs physical presence should be in one city.
Categorize the jobs. Give incentives to ppl who want to move to villages & towns. Development will follow.
If we give the ppl, the mantle to lead this mission, in 5-7yrs, we can start seeing good results. My views.
