On days like today not even 5 yrs of faithful & honorable active duty #Service in #USMC can convince some ppl of a Muslims loyalty to USA.1/

Ppl ask me why I enlisted in the #Marines in 1997 at the age of 19. I tell them b/c loyalty to my nation of residence is part of my faith./2

I served the US faithfully BECAUSE of my faith, not in spite of it. I had the full support of my father — a Muslim Imam & my family. /3

My brother @MuslimIQ fully supported my decision to serve and bragged about it to all his friends in school. I never doubted my decision. /4

But on days like today I feel helpless — b/c countless fellow Americans are being lied to by those in the government and the MSM. /5

The fact is that #TerrorismHasNoReligion. But MSM gives 5x more coverage when terrorist is “Muslim”.

But when a white person shoots 600+ ppl killing 59 of them, MSM debates whether or not that really qualifies as terrorism or not. /6

Our government vilifies ppl like me while ignoring the fact that the biggest threat to USA is White Supremacy. /7

I’m not complaining — I’m genuinely concerned for the welfare of my fellow citizens who are being fed hate systematically on purpose. /8

My appeal to my fellow Americans is - don’t take the bait. We all must stand together and fight extremism in all forms united as one. /9
