Like sure, we can go back and forth over socioeconomic status and race, etc... but the common denominator in violence is always men.
The data is there.
It's not a question of IF it's true. It just is.
My question is how the hell are we not discussing this amongst ourselves all the time?
Not only are we the perpetrators of the most violence (a disturbing amount of it against domestic partners) but also the most common victims of that violence.
How are we not having this discussion everywhere?
Not that it is a feasible solution, but the fact is that if you took weapons out of the hands of every man in this country, the injury and murder rate would drop to almost negligible levels.
I mean we can #notallmen this as much as we like, but when the dust settles, the facts are still there.
We are violence vectors.
Forget the feminists. Forget SJWs and liberals.
Just look at the facts.
We do damn near all the stabbing, beating, stealing, raping and killing.
Is this a problem worth addressing or no?
Like it has to be, right?
As men, do we have any responsibility to question why we account for the vast majority of pain and strife, or do we just get offended at the notion and move on?
Cause the silence is fucking deafening.
What as a man do you feel is your duty in addressing the clear and present danger our kind imposes on the world at large?
Does "Boys will be boys" really suffice anymore?
We are literally the most deadly non-microbial epidemic
Can we do something about this?
What is it going to take? When is it a real enough issue to bring to the table?
Cause refusing to discuss the violence endemic to men puts all of them in constant peril.
We really have the nerve to get all testy and offended when a woman says "men are trash while literally being responsible for the vast majority of bloodshed and trauma.
Like by a country mile
Perhaps we might set down our perpetual shock and dismay at being called out and ask ourselves how we can change.
"But it's biology. It's in our nature! Animals do it"
K. But animals also frequently eat their own poop and children.
So like, maybe we can do better than our biology programs us to by default?

Kavanaugh is using the same playbook that worked for Trump
Pretend that their validity hangs on proof of one big, difficult to prove thing (Rape, Collusion) rather than on the many smaller, easily provable things (Perjury, corruption, temperament, lack of qualification, etc)
The Big Sin sucks all the air out of the room and distracts everyone from the boatload of Smaller Sins.
So if we can't nail them on the Big Sin, they can be excused of all the others and we can pretend that they only came with one questionable issue.
Any focus on The Smaller Sins is then laughed off as trivial in comparison to the Big Sin and is portrayed as petty.
Isn't it weird how people don't respond well to random foreigners trying to take their kids to a hotel and then stalking them and accusing them of kidnapping when they refuse?
She decides (as many Americans do) that if a person doesn't speak English, then speaking English with what she thinks is their native accent will make them understand
She also operates under the assumption that if people are living in conditions she personally believes are sub-standard, the she has a right to remove their children from their custody and to consider them hostile for refusing to let her do so.
