The term chain migration I only see used by people who are against #immigration. It seems to mean when any family members join an #immigrant

Wld that be a bad thing? Real economists (not ppl who took econ 101 &think they know something) show #immigration benefits receiving country

#immigrants create more jobs per capita than native born,show no reliably negative effect on wages,jobs (at most v mild),less prone to crime

Even if without lawful status! In other words,1st country who flings open the gates will make a bunch of money. 21st C politics v weird.

It's already hard to bring family over. Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs) can only bring spouse and kids, citizens parents, siblings too

And that's it. Older kids esp if married and siblings face farcically long wait times, so much I tell people is not really an option often

So basically any chain migration is too modest right now, barely a trickle if you think about it. It's inhuman, tells #immigrants they have

to choose to be separated from their family with at most occasional visits for rest of their lives. You don't attract skilled labor that way

There's only benefits to "Chain Migration", no true downsides. It all comes down to bigotry and people who want less of "the other" around.

"National Security"? Huge majority of mass shootings, terrorist attacks are perpetrated by white native born men. Would you kick them out?

Many of those perpetrators also white supremacists,like the ones that create and endorse the WH tweet that started off this rant. Ironic,huh

The US's history was built on people risking it all then bringing their loved ones over, with heavy "chain migration" as nation was built
