1/ Thanks @JohnBrennan for your service & tireless support in the fight to bring justice to the victims of Lockerbie.I lost my brother that day. I was only 19 when I went to DC to fight for better airline safety regulations & helped pass the Iran/ Libya Sanctions Act. #ny19
2/ The Act forced Libya to turn over the terrorists. That experience is big part of why I'm running for Congress in #NY19 - & why nat security is a front & center issue for me. I want to work with our international allies & support our military service members at home & abroad...

1/ @chrisjdmartin Hey Chris - ACA prohibited ins co's from discriminating against people with pre-existing conditions & required that everyone pays the same regardless of health. It also eliminated annual and lifetime limits on coverage.
2/ There were also consumer protections with the mandate that prevented individuals from waiting until they get sick to enroll, which kept the balance of healthy and sick individuals in the insurance risk pool - and premiums low. Without mandate, healthy enrollees can now drop...
3/ ...out of ACA-compliant plans. Remaining enrollees in risk pool would be sicker on average, forcing insurance co's to increase rates by about 10% to cover the increased average cost.
1/ The House passed the devastating Tax Cuts & Jobs Act today. Starve the Beast? More like starve the poor and vulnerable. Thread. #winwithflynn#brianflynn#ny19#taxbill
2/ As if that wasn't bad enough, Republicans are already planning to pay for their $1.5 trillion tax bill by making cuts next year to vital safety net programs the most vulnerable in our district rely on such as Social Security, Medicare, welfare and food stamps.
3/ So who in the GOP is going to step up and go to bat for America’s most vulnerable? Who will put country over party? If you’re betting on @repjohnfaso think again.
