July: experimenting in black & white with Valkyrie from Fury Road (which I'm watching again tonight!)
August: #FemmeObscura The Trung Sisters, Vietnamese elephant-riding freedom fighters who fought back Han incursion in the first century AD.
September: This happy sexy goaty sweater girl ^_^
October: returned to Snow Queen sequentials to try something different.
November: had to suspend my #100Days100Women around 66, but it'll get finished in 2018 (and look at these 60!)
December: Had a lot of personal and artistic breakthroughs I may share in time. One of my faves is one of my last of 2017. It's nice to try something new, and magically, actually like it :D
Oh, and here's a little preview of 2018. I'm excited to get to it! #HappyNewYear
Another preview of a 2018 project. I really want this one to happen, it'll be a pretty big departure from what you usually see from me 😄

Across the world fascism is rising, it all looks different. Different stages, players, flavors, but it is there. We are in a precarious way in the US, in some countries it's worse, in some better, but we are all under threat.
It is important not to center our situations as the worst, because hyperbole can be counter-productive in a time when facts are under attack, but to look soberly down the road and see how bad it can get, and fight where we are, because waiting, in this climate, is complacency.
I know it is very hard to fight the incremental slide, b/c the attitude is always "it's not that bad" up until it IS that bad. My answer is: you don't wait until things are at their worst to act; you act when you first notice them. It will NOT STOP getting worse on its own.
