Social media attention should go to the people that need it the most.
A Thread ⬇️
One month ago 15 of artists with a large following flew to Bangladesh to give their voice to the Rohingya, the people that survived the Myanmar genocide #LoveArmy
After 48 hours of mobilisation and the online participation of hundreds of artists, youtubers, footballers, and thousands of anonymous,
2 Million dollars were raised!
This thread will show all of the work we have done with the donations so far
When families arrive at the camp they all have many urgent needs.
We are giving the donations directly to the families so they can immediately go buy what they need the most 🤝♥️
This is our first center for kids!
Here 100 children can learn, play, create and dream everyday.
We want these places to be their bubbles of peace ♥️ #LoveArmy
Visit of our first kid center ♥️
Rohingya need stove to cook. Instead of importing the stoves we are paying Rohingya women to make them! They can then offer them to families in need
Results: donations go 100% to those women + they are proud to help other families ♥️💪 #LoveArmy
The cost of a stove like this is 6 dollars in Bangladesh.
In the “traditional” humanitarian system the 6 dollars would go to a supplier + costs of delivery
With our model 100% of the 6 dollars are going to the Rohingya women!
