This country was founded in large part because people came here to escape being forced to worship a certain way. Religious choice is one of the most basic tenets of the United States.
People aren’t being shot because schools can’t force religious teachings and customs on the student body.
They’re being shot because there’s still a stigma around mental health care, and because seeking it is often difficult and cost prohibitive.

They’re being shot because we refuse to pass common sense gun laws because somehow your right to a piece of metal trumps my right to know my child will come home safely from school.
