Unakoti (#Tripura) is an >1000 yr old site with amazing carvings by an unknown sculptor. There is a 30 ft. high carving of Lord Shiva (Unikotiswara Kal Bhairava) & gigantic figures of Ganesha, Nandi and Durga on a lion
Sri Surya Pahar (Assam) is a site with numerous Shiva linga carvings - belief is that 99999 Shiva Lingas were engraved by Vyasa in order to build a 2nd Kashi (where there were 100000 Lingas)

Kirateshwar Mahadev Temple (Sikkim) - believed to be the place where Shiva appeared before Arjuna pleased with his hard penance and blessed him with success in the Mahabharat war. A Shiva linga was discovered at the spot.
Asvakranta Temple (Assam) is believed to be where Lord Krishna rested for some time with his horse while on his mission to kill Narakasur. The site has a footprint believed to be of Lord Krishna.
Akashganga (Malinithan) Temple (Arunachal Pradesh) is believed to be the place where Lord Krishna and his wife Rukmini rested on their way to Dwarka after their marriage. Temple has Odissa style of architecture.
An ancient 25 ft tall Shiva lingam (Siddheshwar Nath) was discovered in 2004 in Kardo forest (Ziro) in Arunachal Pradesh along with images of Goddess Parvati and Lord Ganesha. Clean water is said to flow at the foot of the linga.
