Since a judge ruled that cutting off voter registration 3 weeks before an election is unconstitutional, there's a push now to get same-day registration.
Here's what you need to know to help (mini-thread):
The ruling was this past summer. The cutoff was ruled unconstitutional and stated it unnecessarily prevented a number of voters from voting. wbur.org/news/2017/07/2…
In January, the MA Secretary of State proposed a new bill to enact same-day registration. The link to the actual bill is in this article: wbur.org/news/2018/01/2…
(Yes, the picture in the article is the same, but the articles are different, I promise.)

Now that you know a bit more about the issue, I encourage you to call your state legislators and ask them about the status of this bill. Push them on the issue of #VotingRights.
Christina on the need for an organization like Spread the Vote: “Never before in the history of America have we had to organize to get people IDs.”
On the importance of their #TeenTheVote effort: “Every year 1 million teenagers become eligible to vote in Texas. We’re working to get every high school in the state involved.”

“He wants a world he intuitively understands: of individual nations, in which the most powerful are free to bully the others.”
“He believes in diplomacy as the meeting of strongmen in secret, doing deals, in alpha displays of strength — not endless bullshit sessions at multilateral summits.”
