Clearly horrific sexual abuse is NOT equitable to methane poisoning, or the cascading crises arising from accelerating global climate change. My goal is to point out, @GlobeNewsEd & @billmckibben, a pattern of dysfunctional dismissal behavior by #BostonGlobe in service to POWER.
1. The problem being belittled by @BostonGlobe went on & was ignored for a very looooong time.
2. Those people attempting to call attention to the severe ethical problem were sneered at, considered annoying, dismissed as "hysterical" crazies by the "professionals" at @BostonGlobe

3. The entity being questioned is deeply entrenched within multiple echelons & sectors of institutional power: legal, cultural, political, economic, religious ("we have a right & obligation to maintain our blowdriers, toaster ovens, Galaxy C-5s ... ")
4. The entity being challenged (then: Catholic Church; now: #FossilFuel extraction industry, & the @dccc-@DNC-@GOP political industry it supports), is so institutionally pervasive that countless careers are entwined, invested & impacted by any threat to its unquestioned supremacy
5. Despite the unspeakable, horrific reality of degradation, harm, self-pleasuring (greed) & just plain bad stuff the institutional entity is perpetrating on unwitting & seemingly powerless (until find voice) "victims," the entity presents itself as family-friendly & care-taking!
5a. Right now, I'm far away & can't think of all the slogans, like GE "We bring good things to life" & NSTAR changing their name to EverSource, but we all see &know the slogans to act like these companies are just there to help us (even support renewables & LOWERING our bills!!).
6. As many have mentioned, there are huge amounts of real estate, capital & $$$ at stake.
7.And as the @GlobeSpotlight uncovered w/the abuse travesty...so many layers of intrigue,lies,reltship cnex &cover-up that any reporter worth their salt would likely get a Pulitzer out of it

8. SoTHEN the question has to be: 🤔How can the #Boston Globe, & especially the @GlobeSpotlight Team NOT be covering this story, this extremely obvious factual story, that so many local & independent reporters already are?? Will u not learn from your own history, @GlobeNewsEd🤔 ?
