Those of us who are already in the know, know the kind of things that the "feminists" in Mumsnet "Feminism Chat" like to get up to when the discussion inevitably turns to the transgender community, but not a huge number of people are aware of just how much said "feminists" 2/?

love to throw around the words t***ny and t***nnie, despite the fact that the word is, ya'know, a slur, and a pretty nasty one. Say, for instance, posts like these

Which leads to an interesting question?

Just how much will it take for #Mumsnet to realise that it might just have a wee bit of problem with some of it's posters using it's site to post what looks an awfully lot like #transphobia

So @MumsnetTowers a question for you. Do you think the above behaviour is acceptable? Do you really think that you should be hosting boards containing disparaging, offensive, and contemptuous slurs like the one above?

Because if it was me having to make these decisions, I wouldn't be happy seeing my product being advertised on a platform that's hosted slurs like these.

So @MumsnetTowers 24 hrs since I asked you a question. An easy question. Most orgs would have an answer. But not yours. Apparently you have no problem in hosting posts containing disparaging, and offensive slurs. You haven't even made an attempt to take down the posts...

...So a follow-up question to the one you didn't answer:

Are you proud to be associated with these slurs?

@MumsnetTowers are you proud to be known as the site that openly hosts posts that contain derogatory slurs like t****y and t****ie?

Fascinating. MN GCers now starting to get paranoid about why posters' names are blanked out. 2 reasons:

1) No publicity for you, soz

2) There's a v.small chance that somebody left info in their UserID that might ID them in RL. Blanking names out was a courtesy, nothing more.
