#LivingWhileBlack I'm bout to go ham. Story 1: Be me, be 11 or 12. I was in middle school. Accidentally forget the key to my home. Cop happens to roll by, stops and gets out the car. He assumes I am trying to break in and rob my own house, he pulls his gun. <c>

He wouldn't believe me that this is my home, I do not have a cell phone to call my parents because its the early 2000s, it takes my Asian neighbor to vouch for me, notice white neighbor has been on his porch the whole time not saying shit. I could've possibly died.

Story 2: Be me, in college hanging with friends. Go to the train station because we were taking the train to down town. Pay to get in the station, gate opens. I walk through. Cop stops me, saying I didn't pay and I jump the gate. I along with my friends tell him that I paid. <c>

He detains me on disorderly conduct, holds me for hours, questions me, repeatedly with the same questions in different order, the write me a ticket and says I will have to go to court, ruins our day essentially. On court day he doesn't show up, case gets dismissed, wasted my time

Story 3: Still in college. I am with my now fiancee, we are walking to class. We get pulled over while walking because the officer thinks we are younger than what we are, but also states we look suspicious. We show him our IDs showing that we are clearly in college and headed <c>

to class, even though we are both short folk. I am 5'3, she is 5'1. Cop leaves. We then continue our trek to class, but not five minutes later a completely different cop pulls us over for the exact same thing.

Story 4: Be me, now an adult with a car. I am driving my cousin home on a Friday because he hung out at my place so we could play video games. It is about 9:30 pm or so when I drop him off. On my way back home I make a wrong turn, realize it, then turn around to correct my <c>

mistake. I get pulled over by a cop (white). He asks what I am doing, I express I am on my way home, and that I have made a wrong turn. Another cop (Black) rolls up, and starts acting super aggressive with me for no reason. He starts asking if I have drugs in the car <c>

I tell him no, he asks if I am on drugs or have been drinking, I say no. A third cop (Asian) rolls up. I am now wondering why I have a rainbow coalition of cops on my ass. The all try to tell me that their is a strange odor coming from my car and if I have drugs I should tell <c>

them or else it will get worse for me. I of course say no I do not have drugs nor do I take them. Black cop get even more aggressive, I ask him to calm down, which makes him more aggressive. I allow them to search my car because I know I don't have drugs. They find nothing <c>

after damaging my car and ripping the dash console out. A fourth cop rolls up as they were finishing and asked did they find anything, the other cops say no. He drives off. After finding nothing Asian cop and Black cop leave. White cop apologizes and states <c>

"this is a high drug trafficking area and we had to make sure you were clean." I ask about the dash console that they yanked out of my car that still randomly falls out to this day, he gives a half-hearted and tells me that I am free to go and have a nice evening. I'm pissed. <c>

He drives off, I have this weird feeling and try to drive home. I have to pull over shortly after because I think that I am having a panic attack. I don't get home until around 3am. (e)

I have a few more instances of this nonsense that happens to those #LivingWhileBlack but I don't feel like typing them all out and I am getting pissed as I do so. This is something that happens on the regular due to society's view of us a Black people and it must stop.
