Just to illustrate how our courts are not doing their job - meanwhile our legislature pushes for ERPO - "Red Flag" bills to force ppl who have committed no crime before same courts. #MALeg#MAPoli should be ashamed.
2. lets take a look at what's going on in just one court - what our judges are doing.
These are all copied directly from court records, just one day.
3. Heroin dealer with gun gets two one year sentences: James Cunningham, 54, of 26 Blackstone River Road, Worcester, was sentenced to two concurrent terms of 1 year in the House of Correction after pleading guilty to distribution of a class B substance, amended from trafficking
4. in heroin/morphine/opium, and possession of a class A substance with intent to distribute. Charges of possession of a firearm without a firearm ID card, possession of ammunition without a firearm ID card, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and three counts of
5. drug violation near a school or park were dismissed at the request of the commonwealth.
6. Armed assault & battery gets nothing but a monthly fee: Tashiel Johnson, 21, of 96 Stanton St., Worcester, was placed on two concurrent terms of 5 years’ probation after pleading guilty to larceny from a person, amended from armed robbery, and assault and battery with a
7. dangerous weapon, amended from assault and battery with dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. As conditions of probation, he was ordered to seek and maintain employment or enroll in full time education, not to possess weapons, to stay away from and have no contact
8. with the victim, and to pay $65 monthly probation fee.
9. Heroin dealer walks: Ivan M. Montanez, 42, of 2 Gilman St., Worcester, charged with distribution of heroin and drug violation near a school or park, dismissed without prejudice.
10. Heroin/Coke dealer walks: Shawn Fleury, 41, of 91/2 Fairbanks St., Worcester, charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute (subsequent offense), possession of cocaine with intent to distribute (subsequent offense), withholding evidence from a
11. criminal proceeding, and resisting arrest, continued to April 6 on $3,500 cash bail.
12. Heroin dealer walks: Winsters Jimenez, 25, of 70 Fox St., Worcester, charged with trafficking in heroin/morphine/opium, distribution of heroin, and possession of heroin with intent to distribute, continued to April 6 on $10,000 cash bail.
