My Dear Igbo Compatriots, your leaders, not President Buhari, are your enemies
Thread
Politics anywhere in the world is a fierce battle. Like war, all is fair in politics. In Nigeria, tribe & religion determine, to a very extent, political victories
I wonder if the above assertion is debatable. I have seen a lot to come to this conclusion
In my entire political life, i do not know a Nigerian politician who's loved and hated in equal measures like the current occupant of Aso Rock - PMB
Like all mortals, PMB has his weaknesses and these weaknesses have been over-exaggerated by his political foes
That's politics!!
So let's drill down
Do some of my compatriots in the SE have the rights to 'hate' him and his politics. Absolutely.
However, do some of my compatriots in the SE know why they 'hate' him and his politics? Capita No
So what's the matter? Next tweets please
The political establishment hates the Buhari Persona for two simple reasons
- He fears his creator
- He loves the masses/poor
These two reasons are aliens to the Nigerian political establishment. To them, he's a stumbling block to their 'Keep Nigeria Perpetually Poor' project
So what was their response to the Buhari Challenge? The media!! So deft and crafty - particularly the Obasanjo era - to paint him as the enemy of the Southern Nigeria
They have just one message for their people - "Buhari hates you and he will islamise Nigeria"
It worked but....
For over 12 years, he did his best to remove that toga with minimal success. Even with verifiable public records, first as a military HoS and PTF, where he did more projects for Southern Nigeria than Northern Nigeria, many just refused to 'forgive' him for sins he did not commit
Until MERCY Said no in 2015, PMB was perhaps 2nd to Lucifer in the eyes of some of my compatriots
It's very strange to see the SE more pained than the SS by the outcome of the 2015 election
The SE wants the rest of us to buy the unfounded marginalization cry but FACT say no
Today, there's no region in Nigeria that has less than 5 FG projects being executed and this is putting it mildly
While the SE cries of being marginalised via appointments, the NW is crying of marginalization via federal projects
Nigeria is such an intriguing conundrum
Sigh
But facts are FACTS. The Buhari administration has faced the challenges of decades long decrepit infrastructure than any administration since 1999
Most of our reasonable compatriots in the SE UNDENIABLY agree that he has done more in the SE than any other administration
The 3 other key areas adding humongous values to the Buhari administration are;
- Trade and Investment
- International Diplomacy
- Science and Technology
Who are the drivers of these ministries? South Easterners!
Who gave them the latitude to excel? PMB! "The man that hates us"
Nigeria and China recently signed a currency swap deal. Who were the main drivers? PMB, Alh Emefiele, Enelamah and Onyema
Who will be the biggest beneficiaries? The hardworking Igbo business men and women in Idumota, Alaba, Onisha, Aba, Owerri etc
Does PMB still hate you?
I am not campaigning for PMB via this thread. Far from it. I only set out to prick your consciences
If you must hate, you should do so on a firm foundation and not because some political leaders sold lies to you
One day, you will stand before your creator to explain your deeds
Here's my question to my compatriots in the SE: are you going to continue to dance to the selfish drums of your GREEDY political leaders or warm up to a man who's renewing decades long infrastructural decay in that region and lessening the burden of your international businesses?
The choice is yours but remember one salient FACT: President Muhammadu Buhari does not hate Igbos or Southerners
God bless Mr. President
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria - Amen

Nigeria Changing for The Better, Failed Elites Have Every Reason to be Terrified By Mallam Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari

In a world dominated by instant communication and unregulated social media, the politics of who shouts loudest is increasingly the voice that is most widely heard, often with little or no reference to the facts.
This is a dangerous formula, especially in Nigeria, where so many prominent people in politics and business have built careers on grand but empty gestures, of saying with absolute conviction, and banks of paid-for praise singers in tow, exactly the opposite of what they mean.
Hi, folks, a new status symbol has hit town and it is aimed at being listened to or reckoned with in very hot political discussions, all aimed at directing or misdirecting outcome of 2019.
Quite unusually, the 2015 election results, specifically, the presidential, produced a clear-cut pattern beyond any doubt on the voting preference of each zone of the country.
