's(1) @NYTimesCohen first sentence on the #IranNuclearDeal as a “deal that has worked” is entirely false.
Look at the destruction in Syria & Yemen brought about by #Iran’s proxies; the meddling in Lebanon by Hezbollah & in Iraq by Tehran’s Shiite militias. nytimes.com/2018/05/08/opi…
Reminder: #Iran has already ignited the Middle East
Over 500,000 dead in Syria
Yemen in ruins due to Houthis’ adventurism
Iraq in mayhem due to Tehran’s Shiite militias
Reminder: #IranDeal actually green-lighted Tehran to press the gas pedal on domestic crackdown, foreign meddling, supporting terrorism & advancing ballistic missiles (& very possibly its nuclear weapons drive).
(4) @NYTimesCohen claims the #IranDeal placed a “ring around Iran’s nuclear program…”
Tehran openly violated the JCPOA on different counts. I provide evidence on tweets 4-6 in this thread:

The JCPOA’s own preface reads:
“…full implementation of this JCPOA will positively contribute to regional and international peace and security.” state.gov/documents/orga…
(6) @NYTimesCohen accuses Trump of single handedly fast-forwarding a nuclear arms race in the Middle East.
Q: Hasn’t #Iran’s regime constantly claimed of never seeking a nuclear weapon before or after the JCPOA? So, is Cohen aware of something we are not?
(7) @NYTimesCohen questions Trump’s alternatives, lashing at @AmbJohnBolton and raising the issue of “regime change.”
Rest assured this is Cohen’s main concern or else he would never have even mentioned such a sensitive subject.
(8) @NYTimesCohen talks of the Iranian people being a “proud nation used to working around the cost of confrontation with the U.S.”
- Stop trying to portray an image of the Iranian people rallying around the flag.
(9) - Over 50 million Iranians are living in poverty, according to regime outlets. tasnimnews.com/fa/news/1397/0…
- Iranian officials themselves have admitted only 4% of the populace actually support this regime.
(10) @NYTimesCohen sinks to a new low of thumping his chest for a regime he agrees has a “hideous human rights record” & then brags by saying “the 39-year-old Islamic Republic is resilient.”
Even #Iran's own officials are too worried now to use such repulsive terms.
Shame.
(11) @NYTimesCohen asks:
“Do you change Iran by isolating it or by engaging it step by step?”
Well, the likes of you in the pro-#Iran appeasement camp have tried to engage Tehran “step by step” for 40 years, failing miserably.
Step aside & leave the job to the capable.
(12) @NYTimesCohen again claims the JCPOA “kept Iran much further from the bomb...”
Again, with or without the #IranDeal, hadn’t Tehran vowed it has never, nor will, pursue a nuclear bomb? So why is Cohen claiming without the JCPOA #Iran will race towards the bomb?
Interesting.
(13) As a final thought, in this piece @NYTimesCohen has resorted to very low-class language against U.S. President Donald Trump.
That’s nothing but yellow “journalism.”
(Well, if one could even use the term “journalism” here.)
Apologies for the typo ('s) on the first tweet in this thread.
