What TN Hindus must be worried most about is the way #HRCE endangering the antiquity and heritage value of Ancient Shrines built by kings Centuries ago, they are still standing taller against all Natural calamities!
Now we have lost 1000s of bronzes out of #HRCE's utter carelessness, and in many cases HRCE officials themselves have played a role in destroying our cultural identities.
We have over 35,000 inscriptions discovered in TN temples, which, comparatively, more in numbers many a times than what have been discovered so far in the rest of India combined, its a huge treasure, but we are losing all of them gradually to sand and water blasting methods.
Despite Court orders, #HRCE is still using sand-blasting method to what they say "Clean" the stones, but in fact they erode what is inscribed on the stones, remember, those scripts have survived all natural disasters of all these centuries.
These inscriptions and copper plates bear the info of the land and gold donations made towards temples by kings, public and other donors including foreign tourists of those days, destroying these scripts mean a lot to heritage looters, they are permanent record for temple lands.
There are inscriptions in #Srirangam that talk about donations made by a Budhdhist tourist for burning an oil lamp; There are over 900 inscriptions in Srirangam temple alone, unfortunately we have lost many to sand blasting!
