Hey, and a bunch of you can tweets your apologies to me on this - saying this could never happen. I know finance - the DOJ’s position on why they were blocking the merger made no sense!
Hey Republican Party - Donald Trump is personally interfering with our free market system. If that doesn’t get every single last one of you up to the mics screaming bloody hell, what is there left that you stand for?!
Who’s that douchey guy Josh something? Even though he never worked a day of his life in finance, he went up against me on this blocked merger on Chris Hayes’ show and told me I must be imagining it that Trump could interfere.

We almost all forgot that Stephenson was head of the Boy Scouts last summer when Trump gave his politicized speech. He apologized.
In Week 52, Trump’s DOJ said Time Warner would need to sell of CNN. And in Week 52, Reuters reporter Rupert Murdoch called AT&T twice and offered to buy it.

I know we're all focused on Justice Kennedy's son working at Deutsche Bank at the time the bank lent Trump over $1 billion as other banks would not lend due to all of Trump's bankruptcies. Also of note, is this $300 million loan

mentioned in my book, Week 36, Trump got $300 million in loans from Deutsche's private banking group after Deutsche's real estate group had said no. That is highly atypical. NYT reporting today says Kennedy worked in the real estate group, so he was likely not involved

Can't stress enough as a former banker, it is highly atypical for a private wealth area to loan when a real estate group (the experts on real estate) says no. This was likely in addition to the money Kennedy's group lent.

I’m struggling for that silver lining today, and truly there is none. Trump is meeting with Putin who helped him “win” the 2016 election just before our next election. He has changed the world order by cozying up to authoritarians, alienating our allies, which strengthens Russia.
He has turned America against itself, and we have lost our global and moral leadership. Hatred and bias has been legitimized. People of color, with disabilities, the poor, women, LGBTQ have been victimized in our country. Each week. And now we stand to lose rights fought
for over generations: civil rights, gay marriage, abortion, healthcare and more. Today, we must ALL be woke and fight. The short-term battle is calling every single Dem and same GOP senator and getting friends to do the same to block a Trump SCOTUS nominee until the midterms.

THREAD: this is an important story on Kushner and kleptocracy that needs some breaking down. Bloomberg reports two South Korean firms have purchased $100 million in debt in a Kushner Cos. apartment deal in New Jersey. dealstreetasia.com/stories/s-kore…
This is a deal that Kushner Cos and their partner had trouble financing. Then in early 2018, shortly after the CEO of Citigroup met with Kushner at the White House, Citigroup made a $200 million loan in March. The South Korean firms are buying part of that.
This is also the same deal that in Week 26, Kushner drew scrutiny when his sister mentioned him by name and the EB-5 visa program, visas which allow immigrants a path to a green card for investing $500,000, to market the refinance to Chinese investors.

If you take a step back, recent news items form a frightening mosaic: Trump and his regime do not value the lives of people who are brown or black. This manifests in many ways but most startling may be the open effort to dehumanize,

And so when brown and black lives don't count,

Sounds like these children are being trafficked:
"The Office of Refugee Resettlement reported at the end of 2017 that of the 7,000-plus children placed with sponsored individuals, the agency did not know where 1,475 of them were."
