It’s been a ridiculous couple of years, but we have the chance tomorrow to elect strong Democrats who will zig us back toward the more promising future President Obama was working toward for years and talking about on that dreary Wednesday. 3/5
I remember he ended his pep talk by looking into the Rose Garden where the rain had stopped. He wanted to address the nation outside. “It’s more optimistic,” he said. Seeing these local campaigns and qualified candidates - so many of them women - I finally feel that optimism. 4/5
