These planned riots on the border between #Israel and #Gaza have been taking place for 6+ weeks and expected to culminate on May 15th (tomorrow), to coincide with the Palestinian “Nakba” day.
#GazaReturnMarch is of course named after the so-called "right of return" of 5 - 7 million refugees and their offspring because Palestinians are invested in the mythology that they flood and strangle #Israel, a country of 8 million. Keep dreaming.
#Hamas actively encourages rioters to approach the border fence and the terrorist group is reportedly paying $100 per person to attend these riots. That's good money that could be used to improve their lives rather than be used as cannon fodder.
During the riots, Molotov cocktails have been thrown, the fence has been attacked, flaming kites with the intent to burn Israeli fields and livestock have been flown and mechanical catapults have been used to launch rocks across the border. Sounds peaceful. 🤨
Over 4,000 Israelis live within 3km (<2 miles) of the border fence with #Gaza. Hamas posted maps showing the route & distance to the nearest Israeli villages & towns encouraging rioters to break through the fence & attack, telling Israelis that the attackers “will not die alone”.
In recent weeks, rioters have ransacked the humanitarian crossing between #Israel and #Gaza forcing it to temporarily close for emergency repairs to be carried out. That's right; they hurt themselves.
For example, here's details of the damage at the Kerem Shalom humanitarian crossing: Gas pipelines, fuel terminal & pipes, conveyor belts for grain and delivering food and livestock, and security infrastructure at the humanitarian crossing - all out of commission, not working.
This #Hamas media stunt makes abundantly clear that the terror group has no regard whatsoever for the lives and welfare of the people of #Gaza whom they rule. They only care about damaging #Israel, Israeli infrastructure and the “world opinion” of Israel. But it gains nothing.
In the past 24 hours, rioters were caught placing explosive devices along the border fence with the express intention of breaking through to cause harm to Israeli civilians.
#Hamas recently released a video (twitter.com/twitter/status…) warning #Israel that they should leave the land as “the #Palestinians will storm the border and break through” and that “a kite is only the tip of the iceberg”.
The target of these rioters that MSM calls a "peaceful protest" is the population and civilians of #Israel, and this is not even the targeting of military or political infrastructure. They want to kill civilians. What country would allow that to happen? (#Syria excluded 🤔)
This morning Israel dropped leaflets over #Gaza warning them to stay away and not listen to #Hamas. #Israel has continued to act within the strict confines of the international rules of engagement, many times going above and beyond the “minimum requirements”.
Every country has the right to protect its border. The border fence is the internationally recognized line between #Israel and #Gaza since Israel’s withdrawal in 2005. This is what they do when given land and the opportunity to rule themselves.
In contrast to planned #Hamas riots, today’s demonstrations in the West Bank were mostly peaceful with few if any injuries. Any deaths in #Gaza are the fault of #Hamas who are encouraging violence.
I have actually seen videos that I cannot share that show all of this that is not being reported on MSM. Most of it is publicly available however. But it would require a google search and that is apparently above MSM reporters job descriptions.
In sum, 40,000 Palestinians partook in violent riots in 13 locations along the #Gaza Strip security fence today.
They hurled firebombs & explosive devices at the fence & IDF troops, they burned tires, threw rocks & launched flaming objects with the intention of igniting fires in Israeli territory & harming IDF troops. IT WAS NOT A GRASSROOTS PEACEFUL PROTEST {the end}
