The mess of the past in Nigeria is just like The Story of EX-husbands & the challenge of the NEW husband in satisfying the existing family already abused by the past....
Let me try this amateur thread #NigeriaStory

#NigeriaStory is like that of a family of 36 children with, one husband at a time and several wives.
yet this husband is mandated to take care of them.
Funny enough, this husband is basically exposed to one source of income...Huge income, but volatile income....

This husband used to get as high as N500,000 monthly. The total monthly expenditure of the family is just N200K
So over the years, he's had extra N300K to keep to himself or save part of it (if he is sensible)......Alas, the ex-husband was using it to drink alcohol with his ppu!

So every month, the husband would drop N200K for the family upkeep in the days on plenty. The wives were happy, the children were somehow happy, although the wives were using almost half of the upkeep for themselves. They even called their hair stylists to change it weekly..Lol

The children would waste food at home. The wives really had no reason to shout because monthly N200K was certain, & they knew they really don't have to spend everything to buy foodstuff afterall...They would not even collect change from Iya alata, & Nure eleran..Economy boomed!

This husband also didn't really care how the money was spent, even though he had an idea that he needed not to drop up to N200K monthly but, hey...No biggie, any normal man would live large, & "spoil" the family when the income is BIG...Remember he also had N300K to spend anyhow!

Long story cut short, the company had issue, & the husband's carrer was under a serious threat: You either resign or we cut your salary from N500K to N100K monthly, we can't afford the payment again.....Whichever way, there's serous problem ahead!

Nooo, the husband was sacked anyway.
I forgot to tell you that the new husband would have to be EMPLOYED ny the same firm (it is their family pact with the company)....
The only problem with the new husband is that he would have to take care of the same responsibility with N100K

Here comes the new husband, with monthly salary of N100K to face a standardized family upkeep of N200K monthly.....
Hmmm, did I remind you that the family had no savings although the ex-husband had extra N300K to spend & save part of it for 5 solid years?...
"What can I do now"?

The wives understood the situation (although some pretend until they can't again)......But how do you want the children to understand that the problem at hand is not really due to change of husband but because the Ex-daddy SQUANDERED their future when there was abundance....

Now that the reality of N100K monthly income is obvious to the new husband the the wives, what can they do?
They remember their Ex-husband's colleague who SAVED more than enough while collecting N500K.
Now that everyone is collecting N100K, the colleague simply use his BACK UP...

What if the ex-husband had saved part of the money? The situation would definitely be different because the new husband would have simply dipped into the reserve & still met the N200K monthly obligation of the family..

Now, N100K and the children will NEVER understand this stuff

So the wives tried to readjust. They somehow have no option than to call their hair stylists to stop coming every week, afterall, this Shuku style can actually stay up to 3 weeks...

Emm, how do you tell these children that the issue is not really the inaction of the new hubby???

Once the children noticed that the food stuff at home has actually reduced, and they can't even get extra to go to fun park as the custom used to be...They wailed & cried & shouted about their new daddy....
And the New husband also had to explain the issues over & over again...

He would have to explain to them over and over again that there was no savings when there was abundance that would have absorbed the financial shock now that salary has reduced drastically. he told them to manage till things get better....
Did they understand this at all? N.O

All they saw in his explanation is "blame game, stop telling us the past, do your job by feeding us like before"......
And the man was amazed and said "But I am doing my job, I only need to explain to you whenever you demand why are things not as it used to be"...

This was the #WisdomOfJoseph in Egypt in the days of Pharaoh...
7 years of abundance to be followed by 7 years scarcity....
So Joseph advised President Pharaoh:
SAVE enough now to SAVE your people later....
Pharaoh of Egypt was wise, but the then Pharaoh of Nigeria was a VULTURE!

The Pharaoh of Egypt listened to the wisdom of Joseph...HE SAVED, then in the 7 years of scarcity, the reserve was used to save the land & even other nations..
The opposite is the story of Nigeria...
Nigeria Pharaoh SQUANDERED the years of Abundance, now here we are...
Solution?

As long as you keep denying the past wicked SQUANDERING of the land by the then Pharaoh, & you are blaming the sitting pharaoh, your healing will be LONG in frustration....
Calm down, understand the past, correct the present, allow the future to come in bits..#SlowAndSteady

Call it blame game
Call it ANYTHING..
One thing you can't rewrite suddenly is this:
You can't rewrite the reality of the past.
You can't change the reality of the past even if you try hard to paint it differently.
You can't deny the effect of the past on your today. #RealityCheck

Once we allow today to heal completely from the past by giving it time to actually HEAL, then we can face the tomorrow we are all clamoring for...
Denying the past won't heal this obvious wound, only time heals the wound even if properly dressed byt eh best of medical personnel

Nigeria is rising again...
Nigeria will work in my lifetime...
Nigeria will conquer her adversary..
Nigeria will Flourish again
The wicked in Aso-Rock, National Assembly, judiciary, private firm will BOW their knees in submission.
