#DisclosuresTribunal Apologies. This is from his statement to the tribunal on March 13, 2017 - not in his letter of response to O'Neill
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan, also in his statement to the tribunal of March 2017 said: I specifically wish to state that I did not direct Taylor to draw journalists' attention to the complaint of criminal misconduct made againt McCabe. Nor did I direct him to suggest...
#DisclosuresTribunal [ctd]...to journalists or others that this was the root cause of his agenda. Callinan also told tribunal that it was "striking" that Taylor's allegation was devoid of surrounding details or context of the circumstances in which he allegedly made this dctn
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan now putting fwd his view of why Supt Taylor has said what he's said. Largely what Mícheál O'Higgins, for AGS, summed up when questioning Taylor yesterday.
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan tells tribunal he had NO idea of the 2013 false rape referral. Says he didn't know anything about the letter from Tusla's Keara McGlone to Supt Noel Cunningham in Aug 2013 (which he didn't answer and then ultimately mistake wasn't spotted)
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan says in exec summary of Byrne/McGinn report and there was mention of Sgt McCabe and DPP directions following Ms D claim. Call: I was aware there was a reference but beyond that I didn't concern myself with it.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan says he'll come back to this later but says the 2006 allegation had absolutely nothing to do with any issue in AGS in 2012. Callinan: Correct. Marrina: And it had nothing to do with AGS in 2013/2014. Callinan: Absolutely correct.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan: It shouldn't have been mentioned in dispatches, should it? Callinan: I don't see any reason why it should have been mentioned. Marrinan: Were you linking the 2006 investigation to improper motive of Sgt McCabe re: penalty points issue?
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan: No, I didn't. I read the exec summary but I didn't link it nor did I believe it was reason for complaints.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan: Did you consider 2006 allegation was behind reason for McCabe make complaints about colleagues? Callinan: Shatter asked me if there's anything in the background. I was aware of my responsibilities...I mentioned to him there had been an allegation
#DIsclosuresTribunal Callinan: I was obliged to inform the minister.
#DisclosuresTribunal [NOTE: Shatter gave evidence about this conversation yesterday]
#DisclosuresTribunal From yesterday's transcript in which former Minister for Justice Alan Shatter said....
#DisclosuresTribunal This conversation took place in May 2013. Callinan said he wasn't linking any mala fides with Sgt McCabe.
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan: "It wasn't something that I dwelled on, I certainly didn't convey to the minister this is the catalyst for Sgt McCabe to go running off to go making all sorts of complaints. I certainly didn't make that message."
#DisclosuresTribunal Call said he and the minister never discussed the matter again. Marrinan puts to Call that McCabe and Ms D allegation raised its head again during the pre-PAC meetings (ahead of Callinan's appearance before PAC on Jan '14) as it's in minutes of those meetings
#DisclosuresTribunal Call said it may have been mentioned but it definitely wasn't discussed. Marrinan suggests there was focus on the storyteller (McCabe) as opposed to the story (pen points, etc).
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan is categorical they were discussing the allegations, not the individuals and that "100% that's what he was doing" - focusing on the story not the storyteller. C: I had no intention in wide earthly world of doing down McCabe. Nor had I time to do so.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan goes to phone belong to Callinan when he was Comm and which was sent to Fennelly Commission. Marrinan: But all the texts were deleted. Is that correct? Callinan: I don't know. I didn't delete any messages.
#DisclosuresTribunal [Tribunal has already heard forensic experts say they were able to recover 278 texts from the memory of that phone - including 277 which had been deleted] See here: disclosuretribunal.ie/en/DIS/DAY%207…
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan says he'll come back to this. Now raising the car park meeting with John McGuinness in Jan 2014 (day after the PAC meeting where Callinan made 'disgusting' remark)
#DisclosuresTribunal In statement to the tribunal, Callinan said: "I did not at any point as alleged seek to discredit McCAbe or undermine the workings of the PAC". Marrinan says he will also come back to this.
#DisclosuresTribunal hears C made supplemental statement to tribunal on May 30 2017 after new material had been sent to the tribunal - including letter from Anne Harris, dated March 11, 2017 & statement from McGuinness (about PAC 'fiddles with kids' comment), dated March 28, 2017
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan confirms he was in Pearse Street Garda Station in 1986 and John Wilson was a garda there at the time. His former private sec Frank Walsh was also a guard there. Marrinan: We know from texts that John was known as Jockey Wilson. Callinan agrees
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan says he never knew the story about the horse..thought it was to do with a darts player (Jockey Wilson)
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan asking about Gemma O'Doherty. Marrinan suggests her source for PULSE records it had to be either John Wilson or Sgt McCabe. Callinan agrees it was strong possibility.
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan says he was "certainly angry" that Ms O'D went to his home (to verify his address for penalty points wiped story). Callinan says claim he was angry about her calling to house was "factually correct".
#DislcosuresTribunal Callinan: I certainly coudln't be angry with Ms O'D publishing that story or seeking to publish that story. She was factually correct. In 2007 I was attending an urgent operational matter. I was working at the time on matter of particular importance
#DisclosuresTribunal [cntd] Call: When I was recorded [speeding] in those circumstances I applied to have the ticket cancelled and it was subsequently cancelled. Call says there was "nothing nefarious involved in that particular manoeuvre" Says G was entitled to publish the story
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan tells tribunal he asked Supt Taylor to contact the Irish Indepednent and tell it that he didn't think a visit of that nature (by GO'D) was not appropriate. He said Garda Press Office is open from 7am to 11pm (tribunal has heard this a lot)
#DisclosuresTribunal Call said the GPO is where GO'D should have brought her query. Tribunal heard Taylor subsequently made that call. Marrinan raises the meeting in Harcourt Street btw him, Asst Comm John Twomey and another woman from INM (unnamed - Taylor said this yesterday)
#DisclosuresTribunal Of this meeting, Call said: I didn't recall it until I read it [in tribunal transcript presumably] but I accept it's correct, of course. M puts to Call this was a very high-level expression of his annoyance. Callinan: It certianly was the case I was annoyed.
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan says he doesn't know the exact detail of how the meeting in Harcourt Street was arranged. Says Twomey would have been in charge of the security around his residence at the time. Marrinan suggests some may regard this as an over-reaction
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan said he wanted to protest that a journalist was calling to him home "that hour of the night when I was away". "I'm not denying it... I'm entitled to make that protest"
#DisclosureTribunal Marrinan suggests that this story might have annoyed him and, by extension, made him annoyed with Sgt McCabe/John Wilson. Callinan said this wasn't the case. Marrinan skips through claims of Boucher Hayes and those of McGuinness/Deasy/McCarthy re: PAC 2014
#DisclosuresTribunal See here for more on those allegs. broadsheet.ie/2018/04/12/bri… Marrinan points out they were all made independent of each other. Trib has heard Callinan denies all the allegations. Marrinan will come back to this. Marrinan now looking at the Gerald Kean matter
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan putting it to Callinan the fact that the documents pertaining to the Kean matter [Kean was briefed by Callinan before going on RTE's Marian and Sgt McCabe and John Wilson later sued over the comments based on info he received from Callinan]
#DisclosuresTribunal Tribunal has also already heard that Callinan helped draft the response to McCabe's legal letter to Kean (a solicitor). Tribunal had to search through 100s of 1000s of documents to find the relevant documents. They weren't given to trib by AGS or Kean
#DisclosuresTribunal In response to fact C didn't disclose to tribunal in a statement dated Jan 4 2018 about calls he had with Kean on the Sat before the Marian Show (on the Sunday) C: I did not recall the sequence of phonecalls until I recieved further materials from tribunal
#DisclosuresTribunal Has already heard on Sat (Jan 25, 2014) phone records show Call called Kean at around 12.50pm and they spoke for 17 minutes. C texted Kean at 1.09pm. Kean called Call at 4.14pm ( 1m and 6 secs) At 4.26pm Call texted Kean and C called K again just before 5pm
#DisclosuresTribunal [Tribunal has already heard that the next morning - just before the Marian Finucane show - on Sunday, January 26, 2014, Callinan called Kean at 9.43am and they spoke for 5 minutes 26 seconds. Callinan followed this up with a text to Mr Kean at 10.30am.]
#DisclosuresTribunal [Tribunal already heard that, after the show was finished, Kean called Callinan at 12.43pm and they spoke to each other for 7 minutes and 51 seconds]
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan denies that he told Kean he didn't want to be revealed as having briefed him. Callinan says there was "no secret" to what he told Kean.
#DisclosuresTribunal This is transcript of what Kean said on Marian Show that Sunday morning, January 26, 2014. broadsheet.ie/2018/04/11/ent…
#DisclosuresTribunal C also denies telling Kean McCabe was "troublesome, obstructive, difficult". K has told the tribunal C did say this to him. C says he told Kean that John Wilson and Maurice McCabe didn't engage with the JOM investigation but that's as far as he went
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan now going through the phone records showing contacts between Martin Callinan, retired guard Diarmaid O'Sullivan and Gerald Kean before the Marian Show.
#DisclosuresTribunal Asked if it was appropriate to be talking about issue concerning Sgt McCabe with McCabe. Callinan: I thought initially he may have information that I may have to take action on...but then in transpired he was seeking information ahead of going on Marian.
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan: I wasn't putting anything to Mr Kean that wasn't already in the public domain, nor would I. I certainly wouldn't go there. What he was inquiring about was JOM's investigation which was already in the public domain anyway...
#DisclosuresTribunal [ctd] Callinan: ...and I certainly did not dig down further or talk about Sgt McCabe in any personalised manner. Callinan again denies calling McCabe "troublesome, obstructive, difficult" (ken's allegation)
#DiscosuresTribunal Marrinan (sounding incredulous) asks what in heaven's name was he doing responding to such a request for information. Callinan repeats the thought perhaps Kean had relevant info for him, as a solicitor.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan has returned to the phone records. Marrinan asks about a call which lasted almost 28 minutes at 4.50pm on the Saturday before Marian.
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan: This a man who talks. We talked about parties, celebrities, guards in Cork.. "he was all over the place. I don't mean that in disrespectful way" C says reality is what K wanted to speak to him about lasted only a few mins.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan asks "what was the enthusiasm here in the build-up before the @MarianRTE Show" as he called him for 5 and a half minutes at 9.43am (before Kean went on air)? C denies there was any such thing. Has said if he wanted something to say, he'd say it.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan goes on to ask if a text C sent to Kean at 10.30 that same morning was a "good luck" text. Callinan says no and suggest Kean doesn't need any 'good luck' from him, he's heard and seen him in action many many times.
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan repeats that he doesn't understand why Kean has told the tribunal certain things he alleges Callinan has said. Callinan repeats that if K had stuck to the facts on @MarianRTE Show - which he told him - he wouldn't have had any trouble.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan raises the contacts that Diarmaid O'Sullivan had with both Kean and Callinan on the afternoon of the show. (DOS had also had a 13-min call with Kean on the Friday) Tribl has been trying to ascertain if DOS was involved in putting K in contact with C
#DisclosuresTribunal DOS previously told the tribunal: "I don't believe for one second that I was a point of contact" and when asked about their call on the Friday...
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan now accepts that it was wholly inappropriate for him to help draft a response for solicitor Gerald Kean to Sgt McCabe (after Sgt McCabe wrote to Kean about his comments on @MarianRTE )
#DisclosuresTribunal [NOTE: Tribunal has already heard Callinan wrote out bullet points in handwritten notes in first person, his private secretary Frank Walsh then relayed these to Gerald Kean, they went into Kean's response and this was sent to McCabe]
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan put to Callinan: Do you think what you were doing, in some way, was because you didn't feel well disposed to Sgt McCabe at the time? Callinan: No that's not the case. M: What caused you to do something wholly inappropriate?
#DisclosuresTribunal Call: I made these notes, but on further reflection I stopped and said "i can't go there". Marrinan: "With all due respect, you did go there..."
#DisclosuresTribunal [ctd] Marrinan: Supt Frank Walsh was dispatched down to Kean's office and verbaitm these points made their way into Kean's letter to McCabe.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan asks again if he thought it was inappropriate or not that a Garda Commissioner provides points in defence of a threatened defamation action. Callinan: It's not appropriate but look at the points - where's the defence?
#DisclosuresTribunal The paragraphs Callinan wrote out for Kean...
#DisclosuresTribunal Re: first point, C asked what was derogatory/upsetting about that. Re: second point, C said subject of FCPNs was "going on on the airways" and "was exhaustively aired at this stage". Callinan also said he didn't feel there was anything wrong with other points
#DisclosuresTribunal It's been the evidence of Supt Frank Walsh (who was then Callinan's private secretary) that at the time he was sent to Kean's office with Callinan's notes, Callinan never told him that he had spoke to Kean before @MarianRTE C said he accepts FW's evidence
#DisclosuresTribunal Asked why he was "concealing" the matter, Callinan said: It wasn't a question of concealing. "If it didn't come up, it didn't come up"
#DisclosuresTribunal [NOTE: Tribunal has also heard that it's Kean's evidence that he (Kean) never told Frank Walsh about their conversations before @MarianRTE either]
#DisclosuresTribual Marrinan has drawn up on the screen the statement of RTE's @boucherhayes. PBH claims Martin Callinan made derogatory comments to him about Sgt McCabe on December 17, 2013 during a row about whether he could ask C about pen points on RTE show Crimecall
#DisclosuresTribunal [NOTE: It's been the evidence of director of comms at AGS Andrew McLindon (who was at this RTE meeting ahead of Crimecall) that he couldn't recall any row about pen points and that he only recalled a row about whether Smithwick Tribunal could be discussed]
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan tells tribunal says he believes disagreement over SMithwick Tribunal being discussed had been sorted before he got to RTE
#DisclosuresTribunal hears that in his statement, PBH said he had argued that the allegations about pp raised by Sgt McCabe was "something of enormous public interest and concern" But he was told "there was no circumstances under which he would address the topic"
#DisclosuresTribunal PBH's statement: "It proved impossible to reach agreement on the matter." Callinan now recalling meeting PBH in RTE and says PBH did mention to him that he was upset, little angry that Callinan wouldn't engaged in topics he hoped he would
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan tells tribunal he told PBH, in corridor of RTE while about to make a Xmas address, that he told PBH about a complaint against an Inspector who had allegedly wrongfully cancelled around 20 FCPNs. C told PBH it was examined and no prosecution arose.
#DisclosuresTribunal In respect of Sgt McCabe, Callinan tells tribunal "everybody was aware a number of allegations were being made and they had been examined by John O'Mahony - as everyone was aware and that report was published"
#DisclosuresTribunal PBH statement says he asked to speak to Call alone "in an attempt to resolve what had become a row that was by that stage at risk of knocking the programme off the air... "
#DisclosuresTribunal PBH [ctd]: we talked privately out of earshot..explained to him ...it was wholly unacceptable that gardai were seeking to determined what qs we could and could not ask...He offered me background ion on pen points...Majority of info relation to JW & McCabe..
#DisclosuresTribunal PBH: He offered a negative but cursory impression of JW...he told me McCabe was a troubled individual and that he had a "lot of psychological issues and psychiatric issues". Callinan denies saying this.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan refers to the exec summer of the Byrne/McGinn report which, Marrinan has told the tribunal, recommended that Sgt McCabe should go to see a medical officer and that "he wasn't right". Callinan agrees with this.
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan repeats he never told PBH that Sgt McCabe had psychiatric issues.
#DisclosuresTribunal PBH statement continues: "He claimed that McCabe was motivated by a set of greivances against Garda management and he was famous within AGS for this."
#DisclosuresTribunal C denies saying this. Marrinan asks if it's possible PBH heard this elsewhere. C says he doesn't know but says: "The Garda family is a big family...word spreads, it's as simple as that." [NOTE, this is third witness to use term Garda family in tribunal]
#DisclosuresTribunal Marr reads further from PBH statement in which he claims C said he could tell him "horrific things" about McCabe. C: I didn't have that conversation with PBH. If somebody else had it, I didn't have it and it certainly wasn't on my instructions or directions.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan puts to him that his view and PBH view can't be reconciled. Callinan: "These are very strong accusations here and they're untrue...I didn't even come remotely close to saying these things."
#DisclosuresTribunal PBH statement also says Callinan told him that if there was anything else he wanted to know about Sgt McCabe or the penalty points issue, that he should ask Supt Dave Taylor from Garda Press Office.
#DisclosuresTribunal In his statement to tribunal Callinan said that he did tell PBH that if he had any questions on Smithwick Report or pen points, to fwd them to the Garda Press Office or Supt Taylor
#DisclosuresTribunal PBH statement to tribunal says that Dave Taylor said to him: Now do you understand what the problem with Maurice MCabe and the penalty points is. Asked if he overheard that, Callinan says: no.
#DisclosuresTribunal In a further statement from PBH to tribunal in June 2017, PBH said he did NOT mention either JW or McC's name and that Callinan had started talking about both of them first - unprompted by him (PBH).
#DisclosuresTribunal Also in his June statement, PBH said he couldn't recall Callinan mentioning a complaint made by JW about an inspector. PBH said all he could recall was that Callinan told him JW had "grievances". Callinan denies using word "grievances" in relation to JW
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan reads out part of statement to tribunal in which Callinan said he was "shocked and alarmed" to see a front page story in The Sunday Times on May 30, 2017 headlined "RTE journalist links Callinan to McCabe smear" by @JohnMooneyST
#DisclosuresTribunal This was re: PBH's statement. C says "very key aspects of that statement appeared on front of The Sunday Times and I know that matter has been brought to attention of the tribunal.." C mentions other aspects of tribunal have been reported in ST by Mooney
#DisclosuresTribunal Now looking at a letter Callinan sent to John McGUinness on foot of an article in Irish Examiner on Nov 9, 2013 about Garda whistleblowers re:wiping of penalty points.
#DisclosuresTribunal Letter "..report appears to be continuation of claims by one of 2 persons, one a serving member of AGS and the other now a retired member regarding the discretionary system in place to allow the cancellation ofFCPN by deployment of prosecutorial discretion.."
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan now going through the documentation back and forth between Callinan and McGuinness in November/December 2013 [tribunal previously heard this when McGuinness gave evidence disclosuretribunal.ie/en/DIS/DAY%206…
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan, on advice from Attorney General, wanted all the documentation re: pen points returned to him, McGuinness, on separate legal advice, wouldn't and told him it was "lawfully" before PAC. McG also told Comm that all sensitive/personal info was redacted
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan asks Callinan if he accepted what McG told him re: personal matters were redacted. Callinan: I could not see how it was possible for committee to hear issues being raised by Sgt McCabe without making reference to sensitive/personal data.
#DIsclosuresTribunal Marrinan recalls Andrew McLindon's evidence that he (McL) thought Callinan was more likely to take advice from a uniformed garda over a civilian garda (which is what McL is). Callinan says he thought this was an "extraordinary comment"
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan goes through all the civilian roles in AGS and how he respected them and they're needed for AGS to work, etc..Asked about McL evidence that he thought Call and Taylor were close, C: that's a "perception above reality" "my door was always open to McL"
#DisclosuresTribunal Marr now asking Call about pre-PAC meetings which were held to prepare Callinan for his appearance at PAC in Jan 2014 [where he made his 'disgusting' remark...tribunal has already heard minutes from these meetings show McC and Ms D allegation were discussed]
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan reading through a document which outlined the Ms D allegation and it was included in material to be discussed at pre-PAC. Callinan: I don't agree that it was. I don't recall ever seeing this document.
#DisclosuresTribunal Sees handwritten notes of pre-PAC meeting of Jan 9, 2014 in which Superintendent Orla McPartlin noted: "up to date info on the two boys" Callinan concedes this is probably ref to John Wilson and Sgt McCabe
#DisclosuresTribunal There's also a reference to Noel Cunningham but Callinan can't give any info about this.
#DisclosuresTribunal See handwritten notes for different pre-PAC meeting of Jan 21 2014 in which it was noted "2006 first incident, sergeant serving." And a second note for same day saying: "motivation of whistleblowers" "Sgt McCabe 2010"
#DisclosuresTribunal Most of these notes have been previously referred to when AGS director of comms Andrew McLindon gave evidence disclosuretribunal.ie/en/DIS/DAY%206…
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan suggests that the notes indicate that there was more discussion about the storyteller (Wilson and McCabe) than the story (penalty points). Callinan says he can't speak for ppl's notes. Says it might just indicate summary of what was discussed
#DisclosuresTribunal Tribunal (again) sees questions that McLindon drew up for Callinan - to prepare for PAC. One question: "What is the Comm's view of the character/integrity of the whistleblowers?"
#DisclosuresTribunal Asked if he expected to be asked this at PAC, Callinan says no and that he would never comment on such a thing.
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan says he never saw a document that the tribunal is show - which is a letter from McCabe in which he stated he was "subjected to unbearable harassment and intimidation by Garda authorities" - until the tribunal showed it to him.
#DisclosuresTribunal Asked if he ever regretted never picking up the phone and calling McCabe, Callinan says he doesn't have a particular regret but says if McCabe wanted to speak to him, he'd never have locked the door or kicked him out.
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan repeats how he received 189 complaints in April 2012 (a List A and List B) which involved 2000-plus allegations. C: This is the situation I was faced with.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan asked Callinan if he kept up to date with Asst Comm John O'Mahoney's investigation. C said he got regular updates. Marr asks C if he was ever told two gardai visited the home of an uncle of McCabe (whom he didn't get on very well with) in Jan 2013
#DisclosuresTribunal And that spent 2-3 hours at the uncle's home. C said he saw that "in the papers" [not sure if he means press of tribunal papers] but C says he wasn't familiar with that aspect.
#DisclosuresTribunal Callinan says he doesn't recall getting an update on that visit. Callinan suggests he thinks it was treated separately and that's why he might not have been told about it.
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan: It just seems a little bit odd that there was a 2-3 hours of an interivew with an uncle who doesn't get on with McCabe, a visit to his home to discuss family matters. As he has a lack of knowledge C suggests it's 'unsafe' for him to comment
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan now referring to the transcript of the PAC meeting on Thursday Jan 23 2014 - in which Callinan made the 'disgusting' remark
#DisclosuresTribunal Re: 'disgusting' remark, Callinan says he had very strong feelings about how the pen points matter was being put in public domain. Says: "I know that comment was isolated and misconstrued to such a degree that there has been miles of articles since..."
#DisclosuresTribunal "...pilloring me more or less attaching that comment to an objection I made to McCabe reporting wrongdoing...that is very, very far removed to what I was talking about at that particular time. Sgt McCabe rightly reported wrongdoing..."
#DisclosuresTribunal [cntd] ..C concedes McCabe was "proved to be correct on quite a large amount of the issues that he has raised. And we know the criticisms in relation to other matters. I'd be the first to acknowledge he has identified and did identify weaknesses in my system"
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan now asking about the aftermath of the meeting (and the comment). C: "We certainly discussed it the days afterwards. I took the view, there was so much publicity..I was best off letting it roll..by interjecting I would be adding fuel to the fire"
#DisclosuresTribunal Marrinan refers to email sent from McLindon to Callin on 31/Jan 2014 in which he suggested Callinan go on Today with Sean O'Rourke to "move off" topic of penalty points. This letter was referred to when McLindon gave evidence. Callinan rejected the proposal
#DisclosuresTribunal Email started off: "For your consideration, in order to provide some balance and context to the on-going coverage over the FCPN matter, and to turn the conversation back to the positive activities of AGS, I propose the following to take place next week..
#DisclosuresTribunal [ctd] '1. Pre-recorded interview with yourself and SOR to address issues in relation to the FCPN, but also your career, great work carried out by members of AGS every day of the week, intelligence-led policing.. [redacted] investigation, and values of AGS'
#DisclosuresTribunal "I have attached a document outlining some of the potential key messages for guidance. The areas for discussion are subject to agreement with SOR and his producer..."
#DisclosuresTribunal [cntd] "In order for us to agree to this interview, SOR will have to give a commitment that the interview is not dominated or solely focused on the FCPN issue." As said, Callinan didn't agree to this proposal.
#DisclosuresTribunal The tribunal has ended. It will resume with Martin Callinan at 10am on Monday.
