When shows I watch get cancelled, I always wish I'd have done more to praise them. So this'll be an ongoing thread of shows I like, cancelled and renewed.
I basically stumbled onto #Rise and it had me in my feelings every week. Such a good story and really talented young cast. I had a feeling it wouldn't be renewed, so I was apprehensive about investing. But it was a worthwhile to do so.
#Sirens is one of my favorite shows this season. I went into it expecting a kind of teenage melodrama (like Twilight with mermaids) but it's actually mature and smart. It's a far more engaging story than I expected and I actively anticipate new episodes every week.
I've talked about #BlackLightning but I need to reiterate. I love it. I love the Pierce family and Freeland feels like a living breathing city. The CW-DCU shows can be a chore to watch sometimes, esp this past season, but I'm always excited for Black Lightning.
Speaking of the CW-DCU #LegendsOfTomorrow is my shit. I'd argue it's one of the better DC shows because, it's actually fun to watch. Arrow makes me want to die. Mon-el ruined Supergirl (I stopped after season 2). Flash is inconsistent.
Legends is chill. Don't sleep on it.
I fell into #Lucifer maybe a month ago, which is unfortunate cause I'm invested now and it's cancelled. I feel like somebody needs to pick it up cause where it left off is RUDE. #RenewLucifer Issa need.
#Timeless is also a show I fell into rather recently. I saw the pilot at SDCC I think 2 years ago(?) and thought it was worth checking out, but decided to wait til season 1 ended to binge... Then I just forgot. My mistake. #RenewTimeless
I'm glad #TheExpanse is being picked up by Amazon cause it's so good! I hate myself for not doing my part, cause it's one of the few shows I like *so much* that I don't watch until I can give it my full attention. Which usually means binges every few weeks.
#QueenSugar also falls into Shows I Like Too Much To Watch Half-Assed which means I watch every few weeks when I can give it the attention and respect it deserves.
My mom watches weekly tho, so her viewings (hopefully) contribute to ratings better than mine.
